hi i have just bought obsidian armour for my warrior and i have noticed that i have elite templar and elite platemail in backpack and i wanted to no will i get more materials back if i use perfect salavage kit on them

You will get less or actually none:

Perfect Salvage Kit

If you want to salvalge old armor for the runes you have 2 choices:

Just use a expert or superior and take the chance the armor will break. get the most expensive insignia/rune first. If it doesn't brk get the other insignia/rune. then if it doesn't brk again get materials.
Or use a perfect to get insignia/runes off without armor breaking then use expert or superior to get crafting material.

Salvaging materials is random on armor. Just use an expert or Superior.

You need to have rank 3 in the reputation title track related to the NPC you try to get the consumables from too, fyi. The costs are 250gp 25 iron ingots 25 wood planks and 1 skill point.

now i also noticed (once i got home) that you need to have EOTN?
so i only have prophecies, am i out of luck?
or can i have someone get me one, and i buy it off them..

Salvaging materials is the event that you would use a Perfect Salvage kit to avoid happening, so its not even an option. Perfect kits are for retrieving good mods, runes, and insignia while keeping the item intact. If you want materials, use an Expert kit.
