Reaplacement for "Save Yourselves!"
bosstweed
Hello.
My brother is making a paragon. He does not own Factions at the moment, and may not be getting it anytime in the near future.
Is there any replacement for the skill or secondary Warrior builds that don't use it that are still effective?
Thank you for your help.

"Watch Yourself" and "Stand your ground" are great choices.
"There is nothing to fear" is a damage reduction build staple since it provides 30% and over damage reduction for your party.
Of course, there are other options you can use which can turn out pretty crazy

Set up 2 heroes as searing flamers and take a paragon with Anthem of flame, burning spear, “There on fire” and “There is nothing to fear”

That actually works well^^
There is nothing to fear combined with there on fire can provide 60% damage reduction.
Burning Spear and Anthem of flame are also nice to use.
You should also take a carefully planned Barrage Hero, as it can apply burning to a whole mob and if you are planning to use go for the eyes, it can do significant damage if you in need of physical damage.

Unfortunately that chant and shout will only trigger on the first arrow to hit and not all the arrows coming from barrage

Really?I thought it said the next "attack skill" causes burning o_O
Anet should be more clear on these things...
Has this been proven yet?
If so, forgot the advice about barrage.I never noticed whether or not it worked o-o

If so, forgot the advice about barrage.I never noticed whether or not it worked o-o Yeah, it's been proven many times on the discussion on wiki pages for skills like that (the Anthems, GftE!, and such). However, a fun thing would be to give him a fiery bowstring, use a conjure and barrage, and give the Elementalist Mark of Rodgort for the heck of it XD.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the specific activation is on the first hit of the attack. Say for example, you barrage 3 guys who are lined up in a row towards you with Anthem of Flame. Even if you target the middle guy, the actual first hit will occur on the person closest to you and therefore, only the guy closest to you will get the burning condition.

Could try Defensive Anthem.
"Watch Yourself!" and "Stand Your Ground!" are also very nice choices.

Well, "SY!" is basically the PvE only version of "WY!".
Watch Yourself is still good for your paragons energy though!

I am currently running solo with my paragon thru factions I have two heroes set as searing flamers and a monk set to Prot with some condition removal and me as the paragon running the below build. It has bee the easiest run thru yet I have masters on all missions (Except the stupid tree one on the Kurzick side. But I should get masters on all the rest) I will return to finish it after I am done with the rest . Really want to see the difference in damage reduction against Shiro. I have only died once since I started using this build
[skill]anthem of flame[/skill] [skill]blazing spear[/skill] [skill]Blazing Finale[/skill] [skill]"They're on Fire!"[/skill] [skill]"there's nothing to fear"[/skill] [skill]defensive anthem[/skill] [skill]leader's comfort[/skill] [skill]signet of return[/skill]
[skill]Blazing Finale[/skill] I have switched out with [skill]wild throw[/skill] or [skill]vicious attack[/skill]

So instead of doing 12/11/6 command, do 12/11/6 Tactics.

You can't use warrior rune and at this point you is more useful 11/12 to use a tactic shield

I've found Anthem of Weariness to be great at damage prevention as well

^Also works well with Spear of Fury.
