Why do people pay so much for wintergreen weapons? eg 50k+ for the spear.

Wintergreen weapons, unlike regular pepermint CC weapons, were only given to tournament xulia betting winners. There are only a limited number of them and they are inscribable, so they can be used in PvE and PvP (for example, the spear is often used as a caster spear, +5 energy, +30 fort).

people like non-max items that cannot be added to your hall of monuments, and not give any recognition in GW2 ... lol
I personally only spend big on items that i can add to my Hall of Monuments, wouldnt waste the cash on somthing no one will even know you own by gw2
