Why would anyone want to buy a dedicated minipet?

Easy... I have five characters, and I want at least for each character to have five different mini which totals to 25 unique minis. Once that happens, I will just want dedicated to show off in game and not my Hall of Monuments.

Not everyone is trying to put everything possible into their Hall of Monuments.

Mabey they dont care for their HOM like me (its made for certain people, im not one of them) and they can get a cheaper pet

I would buy a dedicated panda or polar bear (or greased lightning)---just to have it, since I wont (in all likelihood) be getting gw2 the HoM has very little meaning to me.
