Hex Spell. For 6...10 seconds, every time target foe deals damage that foe takes 80...140% of the damage it causes (maximum 80 damage). |
Pain Inverter problem
Miska Bow
I was wondering if this was a bug. Every time i use this skill on a foe casting AoE i still get damage on all of my team. I know the spell worked because the foe is getting 80dmg x the number of toons it hits.
Since im lvl 7 in Asuran rep. the foe is suppose to take 120% of the dmg cause( maxed out at 80) so why am I still getting dmg. In the skill description there is no mention of the dmg overflow coming back on caster.

Where in the description does it say you take no damage?
Earth
It doesn't say anywhere the damage you take will be negated. In other words, you will still get damage, and the foe that caused it will also take damage.
U Wanna Die
They are exactly right. It doesn't redirect the damage it just doubles in in different directions. Its like if they shoot you but the bullet goes through you hits a rubber wall and goes back and hits them. It still damages them, but you as well.

Ok
Lets say a foe tries do to 10 dmg on me. Im lvl 1 in asuran so Pain inverter deals back 80 % to him and 20% on me.
Same mob does the same and i'm lvl 7 in asuran so Pain Inverter deal 120% on it and nothing on me for a maximum dmg of 80 sent back on that foe.
Apply this to a foe dealing 100 dmg and im still not suppose to take any dmg at lvl 7 since 120% of the dmg is sent back to the foe ( for a max of 80)
So if its not a bug, the skill description should be revise to say that the excess dmg is sent back to the caster of Pain Inverter

As if Ursan wasn't already too powerful, not we want Pain Inverter to be made into Pain Diverter. As they said already, the skill does not reduce or negate any damage you take. It only makes the source of that damage take damage as well.

Plz dont turn this into another lame and useless Ursan tread.

Regardless of the damage that the enemy hexed with Pain Inverter takes, you, or anything else it hits, will take damage as normal. This has been explained above, but you still seem unclear. Pain Inverter does not prevent any damage.

I have never heard of anyone questioning how the skill works, or saying the description is hard to understand. If I had, I might see the point of this topic, but I haven't, so I don't. You take damage, the enemy that damaged you takes damage because of that. The amount of damage that enemy is the only thing that changes.
Your 80/20 scenario is just wrong. You always take 100% of the damage the monster deals. Maybe you can explain what part of the description is hard to understand, because I never had issues with it, and have never met someone who did. Until now.

The description is quite clear, no mention is made of damage reduction to you, learn to read.
