banned and hacked ?

here is what happened, i have 4 linked acc, they were fine before chinese new year, yesterday i login to check stuff, found out 2 acc got cleaned out (1 char got deleted, all cash gone, some tickets from event left in storage), 2 acc got banned ( had mini pets transfered before new year).

what else can i do besides contact play nc?

Get better internet security (virus, firewall, adaware, etc.), don't use same email/password on multiple locations, don't supply email/password to anyone/place that isn't supposed to get that email/password.

Most likely you visited a website that asked for info you use in other places, and then used that info to steal your account. OR, you downloaded a keylogger, and they stole your account info that way.

i don't use password from gw game account on anything else, and my cpu was down during the new year event, and i haven't downloaded anything before this happened.

If someone knows your email and email pw they can reset ur pw ...i think.

my email has different pw, and the game acc pw haven't been reset.

Sorry to hear about it Lady S Shiva. You won't get your items back, because Anet thinks you could lie about these things. You could potentially get your account back, just fill out support tickets, be polite, and give them all the information you can think of.

OHHHH Anet might have been watching your trades and thought you were a ebayer. It would make sense because it was a 1 way transfer.

i transfered cash from other accs right before my cpu down, and those acc still running now. on the acc that got banned, the only transfer i did was mini pets.

Maybe, but I don't know. I do know that some websites will have your computer download stuff you don't even know what downloaded. You may have downloaded stuff without knowing you did so. Adaware is designed to look for those sorts of files.

The ONLY way for someone to log onto your account is to know your email and password. If they did this on multiple accounts, you either used the same email/password for each, or they keylogged you. If it was neither, than someone you know and trust should not be trusted.

I highly suggest looking into virus/adware/firewall security. If you already have those installed and running, make sure they are up to date, and run a scan.

It sure sounds like a keylogger to me. Did you in the past download and use any programs in the past that were bots, dupes for GW or any other games?

Keyloggers are sometimes hard to get rid of, some of the older keyloggers you'll see in your browser's address bar sending the info to a website. The banned account problem could be the thief used your GW account to spam or run bots with and was thus suspended by Anet.

on my old cpu, i only visit gwg and wiki, and no1 else knows about those accounts.
i've check around on forums, seems like a lot ppl got hacked all the sudden, is that the reason?

if it's keylogger, how come my main acc is fine?
