Beware Of The Fire Imps & Bob Skales!
Nightfall Awaits
I just now decided to start playing my Dervish on Prophecies and I got a hard Punch in the face: LVL 11 Fire Imps & Bob Skales are dangerous!
Don't be fooled by how small they are these things are dangerous! Although it takes next to nothing to kill them, they can pack a punch I mean a hard punch to say around 80+ ea. Fire Imps are usually in groups of about 4 so they are pretty easy to take care of, but the Bob Skales they are a completely different storie. They come in groups of about 50 but they only hit around 10-15 ea. Still I lost 3 heroes in one round killing these things!
Now I don't know if this is me or what, but if the same thing happens to you don't be as surprised as I was.

Just started vanquishing that area of proph, and they do indeed hit hard, and as you say, some of the mobs are rather large.

Umm... okay, thanks for the friendly warning.

Ummm... there is a wiki for this sort of thing. Most of us have long since beaten the game. Sounds like you are in need of new builds. They are pushovers if you are level 20. Any class can solo them.
Oh, and it is BoG Skale, not Bob Skale, lolz.

Yeah they're really hard! I have a ranger in prophecies and the ice imps always kill me. -.-;
and you guys are really mean... just because your pros doesn't mean you should pick on others. </3

Pain Invertor works wonders, especially if you have an MM hacking into them, trust me. Mind you, is easier for a caster I suppose
MaDDoG1221
Uhh whats your build?
Burning Blade
Those Fire Imps in HM coming in group of 4 or 5 and spam "Rodgort's Invocation" is quite deadly, especially to your minions. I as a ranger when vanquishing those areas would aggro them by myself and it becomes easy since those elemental dmg is not quite fatal to rangers. Let them waste 2 or 3 Rodgort, interrupt some immolate and they are dead.
Pyro maniac
I recently vanquished them with an empty skillbar >.<

Yes, the imps and bog skales are nuisance, specially the imps. You'll meet a lot of them more as you go further the maps. Sparks, is the worst of the lot. Ward Against Harm and Ward Against Elements do help.
But the Bob Skales of guru are more problematic, no wards against them at all.

Groups around 50? geez, how many did you aggro:P
The Skales are in groups of 3-5 ect.
Bob skales? - BOG skales
You should be glad they reduced the numbers of them when EotN came out then. Becouse of the "crack" in the mountainside were you enter, used to swarm of BOG skales there. (shame they are gone)

I remember when I first explored Talmark Wilderness and ran into those huge groups of skale milling around by the beach, and the mobs of fire imps up north with a boss thrown in for good measure. They wiped me and my woefully unprepared party of henchies a couple times.

Bob skales ftw.
But a simple henchie/hero monk with you in NM should be no problem.

mm i finished vanguishing kryta while ago noticed easyest way h/h was ME run first aggro em (heros & hench were flagged away) when they start attack me i let heros attack and then they die easyest and not do those mass dmg skills for whole party just me that get's healed. So best way is use tank

These are the types of threads I expected to see only in the early release of prophecies...

The OP is a level 20 from Nightfall? And has problems with Bog Skales?
See, this is why running people through the game on their first character is bad.

However, saying that a lvl20 Dervish should kills lvl11's with 1 swipe of their scythe. OP is prob just a bad weekend player/bad build builder.

One thing that is leading to so many flames here is the fact that those of us that started with Prophicies understand that this part of the game is generally reached by the time your char is lvl 13-16.
Many of us actually had to slug our way through these mobs at lvl 10-13 on our first chars that moved a little to fast through the game thanks to the massive number of pugs available back then.
The learning curve in prophicies is the longest and in many ways the best to prepare players to face overpowered mobs later in the game or other chapters.

Pretty sure there is a skill called Protective Spirit. Pretty sure there is also a skill called Save Yourselves! Either of those makes you invincible.
MithranArkanere
They rarely go in parties of more than 3.
They are more a nuisance than a trouble.

Also watch out for Jim Skales and Greg Skales as they will take you out in one hit.
Thanks for the warning. There are probably runes are something to help with the burning from Imps and maybe a hero with some condition removals against the Bob Skales.
