"roll?" in hero battles

Hi, I just started hero battles yesterday, and I've had a decent win to loss ratio. As my rank rose and I started to play some slightly higher ranked players, they would ask me "roll?" at the beginning of the game. Now, just out of the blue like that with no context, I had no idea what they were asking and not enough time before the match left to ask (I'm a fairly slow typer). If someone could just explain in entirety what this means, I'd appreciate it.

They are asking you to do the /roll command. Whoever gets the lower number resigns out, giving the victor a quick win. It's purely for farming, and is a truly lame practice.

If you care about getting better as a player and having fun just ignore it.

It used to be much more prevalent when hero battles first came out. I'm kinda surprised people still do this.

Just ignore them, maybe they'll even get angry enough and rage for you
