Hacked

I think its very possible to get hacked without giving any information away, but I am not sure. If this is the case, GW really needs to do something about this because If I invested my money into something that will be a waste, I will be furious. Everything I have is safe and iv'e never given out information, is it possible for me to get hacked and if so, how?

If you download "illegitimate" programs, they can contain keyloggers. There's always the infamous "Bruteforce" password... people just randomly pressing buttons and guessing your password. It's always possible to get hacked without giving anything away. Then there's the "leet" hackers that just break into your computer bypassing your firewalls etc... but why would those people bother with a game :P...

Hackers mostly hack for money, credit cards, and personal information. And some hackers that wannahvaealief but don't hack out of the lack of good in their heart.

If you got hacked they could get your account in trouble, destroy items, etc. They could even sell your gold, items, and account for real world cash.
Be very careful when download anything. Don't trust suspicious websites.

They could hack your Guild Wars account if they know your account name. Other than that I have no idea how they would.

You just need to make smart decisions and know what you are downloading etc.

Yes its posible to be hacked without giving any info. All some Uber 1337 h4x0rs need is a char name. But thats extremley rare.

My pal hacks hundreds of people in Guild Wars. I amn't into that technical shahizzle. He sais that he only needs the ingame character name of the person he wants to hack and that it is very easy to do.

you can "hack" anything if you know how. heck, if you had enough resources and knowledge, you could hack Langley. But again, the risks outweigh the rewards, and if are gonna hack someone, you probably aren't going to go after their Guild Wars accounts.

Urg. lol. This is GW. It's worthless lol! You spend your time having fun and crap? You get hacked? Who care, good time to start again or buy another game. Really!!! Hacking GW acc is pathetic! You gain nothing more than a mere virtual items ONLINE

Yet I know people who made more than 10.000 $ by "You-Know-What" Acc's and Money...
