Imagine you're forming a group for some dungeon, and you realize that you're one short on one class and one too many on another. Or say you've always wanted to try monking, but you've never had the time or motivation to outfit and level up and take through the campaigns a new character.
So I had this random idea the other day and wanted to see what you all thought, don't flame me if it's terrible :P...so we all know that we can make PvP-only characters to do PvP, with max armor and weapons and inscriptions and access to unlocked skills and such.
What if we could do this for PvE?
What if we could create ready-made, level 20 characters to travel to any place in the campaigns you have access to, NM or HM, to do quests and missions and whatnot with your friends?
Obviously there would be restrictions:
-Seems as though most people wouldn't like getting nothing out of it, so I'm not sure what kind of system could be implemented to mirror PvP-only characters...
-Basic skins. No access to flashy weapons and armor, you get the same stuff as PvP characters (and no reward points to eventually get better stuff).
Possible restrictions:
-No PvE-only skills? I'm not sure how you would calculate the titles for these characters, and if you gave them the same rank as the account/best character, might be overpowered for something you just made.
I thought of having skills, runes, inscriptions, mods, etc. available if they were unlocked for the account, but I'm not entirely sure. You can unlock things through regular PvE, but you can also unlock them through Balthazar Faction. Perhaps buying the skills on a separate system with ingame gold? I'd like opinions on this.
I suppose the only point of this is to encourage making groups, making the game a little more fun for people who want to test things and fool around w/o all the work, and helping your friends.
What do you guys think? Please don't flame me if this is a awful idea, I just wanted to throw something out there for discussion...any constructive criticism is welcome!
A Kind of "PvP-only" for PvE

I mentioned a similar idea in another thread somewhere, having 3 sets of toons - pvp, pve and story mode. PvP as they currently are, story mode is what is currently called pve toons. The new category would allow you to create a L20 toon with account based town, skill and title based unlocks, have access to the create weapon/armour interface that pvp toons have. This allows those that enjoy playing though story mode and roleplaying etc to continue doing so, but at the same time allows those that just want to play pve guildwars a way to do so without having to drag themselves through the story/level/mapping grind.

As the OP is considered, I think it will never be implanted.

I'm surprised nobody's defending this with the same arguments people use to defend Ursan:
- If you don't want to use it, you don't have to
- Other players using this doesn't devalue your own achievements (you should be playing for yourself, not to seek validation from others)
- It will make pugging easier
- Casual players without a lot of time on their hands will be able to enjoy more of the game
- People already shortcut through the game by getting runs, this is no different
Not that I believe any of that, just some food for thought.
