most of my armours are the factions max level versions of the prophecies presear starters or collectors armours...

Hmm Fish armor does look cool but it costs like way way to much for a normal GW's player to be able to afford it, Personally i would choose 15k armor

I agree with everyone here that there are some good looking armors out there, however, they are not obsidian and don't hold the same status in my eyes. Sorry, just my opinion.

Who cares about status? Don't worry about what other people think; it's not an e-peen contest. The most important thing is whether you like it. Decide which armor you think is prettier and get that.

It really doesnt matter what we think, since you will get the whole gambit of responses here from the "FOW is the ugggggghlist armor out there [my stance]' to the "you arent uber l337 until you get FOW"....

FoW armour WILL always be the Elite armour people buy for status. That is why people sell it on ebay! You dont see people selling 1k armours on ebay?
You can ask 100 people ingame, and 90% of them will tell you Obsidian armour is more Elite than any 15k out there(although Vabbian is up there too).
If you want the "status" , buy FoW .
If you want something YOU think is cool (dont listen to anyone else, check Wiki instead) , then buy a 15k. People will argue 1k are okay, but the Whole reason they made 15k, was so that it would be Better than 1k.
FoW was (origionally) designed to be the Best armour in guildwars. Although new campaigns have brought new armour to guildwars, FoW was the best armour you could have. I personally like FoW for monks, and plan on buying it should i ever decide to sell some of my mini's.

well imo don't judge a book by it's cover. someone with obsidian armor does NOT mean skill-- and vice-versa. i have 6 sets of obsidian armor-- does that mean i "ebayed" ? no. not at all. i have 26 maxed titles to back myself up on the fact that "expensive armor means you ebayed and further more you must suck!" is not accurate what so ever in the slightest bit. armor is armor; no matter how you look at it, it does *not* show player exp/lack of exp.
to the OP, check out "www.wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page" and check out what armor sets are availiable. if you want obsidian armor, then hey, more power to you. fow armor, in a sense and imo, shows a pinnacle point of one's ability to work the market/farm/save (or the occasional "ebayers, if you want that thrown in there). so go nuts and have at it. ^^

well, the character I'm thinking of buying fow armor for is my female rit.
I want it cause I really like the look of it. Like I said though, I'm liking a few other armours as well (elite canthan, elite imperial, ancient) so idk if I should work for my fow armor first. I'm really liking the look of it though. It's all about which to buy first.

I looked at all the armor available.
The only two that I like for Male ranger at all are drakescale and obsidian. I actually like drakescale better than obsidian.
I'm amazed that there are people who would kick someone out of a group because they didn't conform to their point of view. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at the lack of respect most people in this world show to others especially with the anonymity of the internet...
