Any very high rank pvp to me is respectable.

In this order to me...
GvG
HoH
TA/RA - AB - Hero Battles (all kinda lame...lol.. maybe TA is a bit better but shares Gladiator with RA)

a rank 3 champion is probably a better player then a god walking amongst mere mortals. I mean, just look at the guide someone made to achieving the title. For heavens sake, the guide recommends to get ran through all the missions, vanquish areas, etc... Also with ursan about now...

Having both r12 Kurzick/Luxon titles. Those titles take forever to get, gotta respect them for their grinding.

for you, and all others who say skill hunter title, its nothing special, i was able to cap all elites in about a week when i tried for it, no tomes used, just tons of money and skill points, which is the only hard part about it.

I'd have to say that the most "respectful" title is in 2 sets...

PvE: All Legendaries (guardian, cartographer, vanquisher, master of the north, and skill hunter) only ones that can be credited alone are vanquisher and master of the north.

PvP: Champion and/or max kurzick/luxon *long to get so it becomes boring like LDoA...at least to me*

I don't care much about titles - and I'm only a PVE player. But when I see a max "wisdom" title and or "treasure hunter" ones - I offer a bow for sure...

Although commanders do get a wee ounce of respect for having the patience to deal with hero's that much, but for nothing else.

I agree. I haven't seen a single person with this title yet so I can only assume there is no super easy way to get it like there is most other titles these days.

I sure do miss the days before Ursan...

On a side note. I don't respect those with the champ title or any PvP title because I have yet to meet a nice, fair, and respecting person with any high PvP title. Otherwise my status would be different. Skills don't count for much if you're a sore winner/loser. I'm not saying there aren't nice people out there that are good at PvP, I'm just saying that I have yet to meet one =/

I'm not much for that stance because there's a generous distribution of these types of players in both PvP and PvE.

That being said, showing off in an online video game has a great working relationship with being an odious dillhole so I'd have to say that I'm always more impressed by the person that the title is on than the title that is on the person.

Echo that, LSH was a doddle with enough cash and SP. About 5 times easier than Legendary Cartographer was. LSH is not even a massive time sink, only took about 3 weeks of casual play.

As for the question :

PVE : GWAMM - Either you are very, very fast or you have way too much free time. Needs serious money to get and a fair amount of dedication. Oh, and the Treasure Hunter and Wisdom titles. "Yea, we are gathered today in the presence of the completely insane"

PvP :Champion - This is the only PvP title that actually says anything about the skills and ability of the player and cannot be ground via lame builds with little understanding of the game. Even BSpike requires close co-ordination, though it is seriously damaging the kudos of the title.

Vanquisher, Guardian, (Defender?) of the north.

Don't have much respect for PvP titles. Especially champion / high ranked hero just screams "I'M A POMPOUS ASS WIPE PVE IS FOR NOOBS". I'm ranked decently myself in HA, it's really not a big deal.

PvE wise - not really a whole lot. As far as that goes the only ones I may notice are ones that one can not totally purchase and require at least some level of playing the game - Skill Hunter, Vanquisher, Treasure hunter, and a few others. Even then you can purchase the hard part and simply grind the rest out. But then, there is some level of respect for someone who spent that much time doing the same repetitive task. Add in any title that requires them (far enough along in the KOABD tract). Though, amusingly enough, if you do all the titles the "hard way" (do not simply purchase your way to them) those are some of the easier ones.

True, but they only require lame builds with a little understanding of the game - effectively if I can see the title for myself it sucks. I'm a terrible PvP'er and were I to choose to grind it out I could get it. I've also seen some high level people in this rank say some, well, idiotic stuff (for instance humans interrupt lower cast time skills and can see a larger portion of the battle field than the AI does as an interrupter - and note this was *explicitly* stated - I agree a good human interrupter makes better decisions but there is no way they have near the reflexes or the ability the AI has to switch targets - even if said reflexes and switching targets interrupts worthless skills).

There are no titles that are prestigious to simply have and I see no way to create one. I really wish they had a "how good are you" title but there is no way to make one. As such a title mainly shows that one was dedicated enough to get it, after that it generally takes very little to figure out if the person also has the skill/intelligence to follow with it from simply talking to the person.

Most of the titles are respectable for their madness. I mean 10.000.000 factions points ? That's 5.000.000 points transfered with 1.500 per win in AB. I don't speak about FFF or HFFF because it's so mindblending even Ursan looks like an orgasm compared to it (and god knows it's boring as hell). 10.000 chests opened ? 10.000 golds IDed ? 10.000 minutes drunk ? 10.000 sweets ? What the hell ? Respect to those who achieved these crazy titles.
Champion is indeed a hard title to get as well as Rxx in HoH because it takes some skills too.
Legendary whatsoever isn't as hard as before :
- protector/guardian : ursan + guildies
- vanquisher : see above
- cartographer : textmod

They just take an incredible amount of time. I'm just doing legendary guardian/protector when I have some spare time, talking with friends on TS and taking some fancy builds to achieve the mission.

Legendary Skill Hunter
why?
hard work for the title
i just got Tyrian Skill hunter and it was hell with all the random spawns
with such a title you show you've been through alot of enemies, bosses and more
also
this title combines exp and money cost, cap sigs = 1k + skillpoint
i rest my case

It depends upon the player.

For me, an honestly acquired Survivor. Not the boxing one, but the normal ones - achieved through straight questing and missioning.

And while I'm most proud of my Survivor and Indomitable survivors, they were acquired with some help and sequence breaking, so they don't count. But they were hard to get, and of my titles I'm most proud of them.

Oh, and my warrior's Protector title. The first one, when it was all still hard as I was new.

I have a great respect for those who have achieved LDoA, purely because of the number of hours that need to be dedicated to achieving it - an officer in my guild achieved it recently after devoting 1700 hours of gaming time to it. Granted a lot of this is AFK, but thats still a huge amount of time resisting participating in other guild events or achieving other titles, not to mention overcoming the frustration of disconnects.

Other than LDoA, I have a great respect for those with Legendary Vanquisher and Master of the North.

If you're playing 2 hours of GvGs a day and manage to get >1,200 rating opponent every time, it would take four and half years to get the max title. How explicit can I be to tell you that titles with these conditions are nothing but endless grind for those who have nothing better to do than play one computer game all day. There is, in my opinion, nothing respectable about them. Youngsters are so easily led these days. Some fat coder adds couple of zeroes at the end to create nice even number and people go rampage to be the first one to reach it. Supported by people in threads like these "yeah, champion really is a nice and respectable title", idiocy knows no bounds. Yuck.

There are no respectable PvE titles anymore. Vanquisher and Guardian were the last of the PvE greats, but they were mauled by bears. Champion, Gladiator and the higher Hero ranks are the only worthwhile titles left.
