For me, it depends on the class. Some of my characters (ranger, dervish, warrior, ritualist) look awesome with capes, and personally the non-caster classes seem more like a cape would look good on them (just in terms of lore and fantasy RPGs).
I keep the cape hidden on my assassin, an assassin should not run around with a big flowy cape. Plus, I like her to be very streamlined-looking.

I have no guild right now, so I have no cape at all.

I display it unless it looks really bad with the character's armor.
You know you can make your own guild, complete with cape, for very cheap.

I have never liked the capes, I think they're dorky and was overjoyed when they gave us the option to turn them off.

With my main character I always show the headgear and never the cape.

depends on the character im playing. dont get me wrong, i like my cape, but with clipping issues i avoid wearing it on my dervish and ranger. it in fact looks good on my warrior. plus, the color doesnt match ANY of my character's outfits.
