Especially if you go to a school/university where your parents pay for tuition.

I remember the day I left for college, my father handed me several thousand dollas. He said,"Every class you skip, burn 5 twenties, because that's what you're wasting. Keep the rest for after college."

I still got it all

Occasionally I'll skip classes, but usually not so I can play games. Merely because I either don't feel like going or because the class isn't worth my time (go five times all semester, three of which were during the first week, and still get an A+). If I end up playing a game then eh, if not I just sleep or watch Scrubs/House.

Pay for my own tuition so nobody is out anything if I fail, except myself.

LOL, i was gonna respond to this topic and say I've never skipped work to play a video game.

However, I did leave work a half hour early today to run by Target and snatch up the $10 EotN bargain.

When someone goes to that level, it's addiction. Happy to say i haven't sunk to that level. Rather not start messing up my education / job for the sake of some game.

Going to school raises my IQ, logging onto GW lowers it.

so the problem with most of you is that youre incapable of supporting yourselves and your lives fall apart if you decide to take a day off from work?

So, now it's taking a day off, I thought you started the thread with calling in sick? It is not the same thing, even if both gives you free time there is a big diffrence. 1 is cheating your co-workers the other is OK.

And the response is "No", because some of us are responsible.

It's not being nerdy, Grasping. If we were all nerdy, we'd be doing what you did, calling in sick so that we could stay at home to play an mmo.

I called in sick to play on the Monday of the first ever double balthazar weekend (woot 10pts per kill instead of 5!). Nothing next to me rushing out my honours thesis in 4 weeks due to fallout2 addiction lol.

Ever since I got GW I have called out when each chapter and expansion came out. My job sucks but pays well so A sick day here and there won't kill me.

It's why people who make $100+ an hour don't play GW.

I wouldn't call in sick for GW, that's a bit TOO much.

Though, whenever I'm sick, I work like this:

Morning: Feel like crap.
Noon: Starting to feel better.
Evening: Feel dandy aside from some sniffles.
Nighttime: Feel like crap.

So whenever I do stay home, I often find around lunchtime I feel good enough to get out of bed and play GW.

So I sort of indirectly call in sick for Guild Wars.

Also, as a career, I'm looking towards freelancing. In whichcase I'll NEVER have to call in sick! Mwahahahahaha!

And that makes you what, a better person? lol It makes you a fine sheep and we need guys like you don't worry.

A lot of people are responsible because they've put themselves into the position where they have no choice than to be responsible because of earlier choices in life. Often looking down on people who don't follow the main stream. You wanted kids, you are responsible for them.

Everybody is responsible for his own actions and the consequences that come with those actions. There's always a price to pay, sooner or later. And every choice has it good things and bad things.

The world is full of sheep and that's no coincidence as humans are still mammals, group animals. I don't judge sheep but I also don't judge the OP in anyway.

Man I love movies like 'fight Club' and 'American beauty'. It's not for nothing that they're in the top 100 of best movies of all time.

No, they sit in their offices at A-Net and laughs at us "morons" for playing their game over and over again.
