It means what it says. When you cast a Fire Magic spell, you gain 1 energy plus 30% of that spell's cost.

Basically, it helps you maintain your energy pool so you've got energy to cast more spells - you get back 2/4/6/8 energy from 5/10/15/25 energy spells - essentially, they cost 3/6/9/17 energy instead, making them much more manageable.

Without Fire Attunement, you'll run dry really fast.

Please note that you still have to have the required amount of energy to use the skill. You get the 'rebate' after casting.

Add [skill]elemental attunement[/skill] and you can really go nuts with those high energy skills

The attunements are a must have for any mage specializing in any one magic.
You don't want to be reduced to mere wanding.

Either that or my personal favorite [skill]Glyph of Energy[/skill] You can use [skill]fire attunement[/skill] and [skill]Glyph of Energy[/skill] together and not have to worry about energy too much at all.
