[Suggestion] Asura Gate on Battle Islands
Tarun
As stated in the title, add a gate somewhere in the Battle Islands so it is easier to go from the Guild Hall to the Eye of the North with 8 people.
Artorius.Maximus
As long as it is just adding the gate for people who have been there, and is done without bugs so only people who have been there can be mapped with it then sounds good. Would be to Boreal Station as opposed to Eye of the North (like all the other Asura Gates) though.

YES, PLEASE.
I hate having to go to a city, then zone again. Quite annoying.

So the OP's reasoning of wanting to map 8 people into EOTN can also be used to ask for a way to map an 8 man party into both Elona (kamadan has party size 4) and Tyria for non EOTN people (LA has party size 6)

A VERY good point. I never thought of this before, but it is a legit complaint. It doesn't make sense from an RPG perspective (how is there an Asura gate on the battle isles), but it would still be very convientant. This is one of those "I can't believe somebody hasn't thought of this already" ideas that seems so obvious when it is suggested and has no real negative downsides.

I don't got EoTN but I bet I would sign this anyway.
I'd also like one for the Realm of Torment as well.

is it just me or could you just map to LA then map to where you want to go?
cuz im pritty sure thats the same amount of mapping you'd have to do...

On the other hand, party leader could go to the town, then enter the guild hall and form party, then use leave guild hall and be there to start with. Still no real argument against, but that is an easy way around the issue.

Useful for when your in the guild hall and you wanna go back to GWEN.

Except mapping to LA = 6 man party.
We want a way to map a full 8 man party to EotN.
This is only really necessary for guilds who actually set up 8 player teams, which is pretty rare nowadays.
(or maybe I'm not looking in the right place - if anyone knows guilds like these, PLEASE pm me!)

maybe add a quest at the great temple, and then get a gate in the isle of the nameless or something like that

I still like the concept, but this should not be the implementation. Just allow people who have done one of the three existing quests have the portal appear on their map somewhere on battle isles, similar to the way the portal appears near LA, KC, or Kamadan regardless of which quest you did. Also eliminates any confusion from PvPers who see a guy and wonder why they can't get a quest from him but other people are.
Tarun
Even a zone portal or two in the Guild Hall itself would be nice. One that is an Asuran Gate that takes you to the EOTN campaign, and a Vortex Portal for those who have Nightfall. If you do not own the campaign for the portal/gate you're trying then you can't run through them and get an error message on screen saying you don't meet the requirements.

The ilse of the nameles is a 'training ground' regardless of if you are PvE or PvP.
You can test builds against AI behavior or test damage with PvE skills.
All this would be much easier if the Icons showed the map of the area they pretend to travel to instead of traveling to port cities.

All the campaigns are accessible from the Battle Isles, but the expansion is not.

While this is a good idea, all you have to do is have the party leader go there beforehand, zone back to the GH and form the party, then leave the GH and you're there. Just make sure that the party leader has a quick connection and it will take no time at all.

While it is easy to work around, as already mentioned, simple things like this shouldn't need to be worked around in the first place.

/signed for central locations accessable for players of all campaigns. as well as adding Asuran Gates to traverse from Battle Isles/GHs. Signed for easy traversing between RoT and other compaigns faster.
Eldin
/signed for the Asura Gate.
I dunno about the Realm of Torment vortex. It'd be more convenient but lore-wise?
Or do we just say "NIGHTFALL IS COMING ABADDON WILL EAT YOUR EYES" rifts opening all over Tyria?

Seems like you could go Lion's Arch -> north, still zoning more than once unless you had business in Boreal Station. :P
But sure, /signed.

/signed, would be very useful.
Eldin
In the long run does it matter?
Unless you have business in the actual Boreal Station, otherwise, let's say you wanna go from The Battle Isles to Rata Sum.
1) Asura Gate to Boreal Station.
2) Travel from Boreal Station to Rata Sum.
When you COULD just...
1) Travel to Lion's Arch.
2) Travel to Rata Sum.
Or is this for people who lack Prophecies? Because I think you shouldn't play GW:EN unless you have played Prophecies. You won't get everything, plus Prophecies is just plain epic.

Tarun
Eldin, it's mainly so you can take a full party of eight with you. Rather than six and have to split the team because of in-game limitations.
Pleikki
/Signet for this ...
