So here is Best Buy selling the BMP...
But it costs $17, because it asks you to pay a fee for $7 to let you download it up to 30 days later (?)
My question is has anyone used this service or the one done for Circuit City, and if you have, is it possible to remove that extra charge? I would download it asap, so it wouldn't be a big deal. Additionally, do you get a code to enter or do you have to submit your playNC and/or GW login email?
Thanks for your help.

Hi, there. That's for asking about this. I was concerned and puzzled at first, but I noticed that you are not required to purchase the "extended" feature, but can simply put a 0 (zero) in that field, hit Update, and the price then resets to $9.99.
Hope that helps!

why wouldnt you order it from the gw store?

I am really sorry -- I don't know how the external sites function, and neither does our QA team.
I believe that they must send you a code, because I don't think they would want to inquire about internal access information. In fact, I would decline to give it, personally. But then, I would order through the in-game or PlayNC store.

1: you would not order from in-game store if you did not want to link your account to PlayNC or if you wanted to pay by check or money order (which both Best Buy and Circuit City Allow)
2: You do not have to link your account to purchase from either retailer.
3: When I bought it did not generate a key code - I had to go through support for both Digital River (Best Buy) and Play NC. One or the other, not sure which, finally got me the code. I do not know if they have this fixed yet not but if no code is generated contact both supports and you will get the code (3 days later).
By the way, the code was put into my online invoice rather than being e-mailed to me and I did not receive any notification it had been done so keep checking your on line invoice through the link in your e-mailed invoice after you contact support and the code should eventually show up.

I bought Factions on this system. It worked perfectly. On your (digital) receipt your CD key will be there and your key is shown before you download the game. Just copy the CD key into your GW account and your ready to play. Just make sure you are not hasty and read each page that shows up so you don't miss it. I hope this helps.

Just tried it. Went through fine, didn't have any trouble as it says the code very clearly. Thanks very much!

Excellent - they have it functioning.
For those who need to pay by check, money order or wire transfer they accept all three so you are not limited to credit card.

All super valuable information for me to have. If it's working properly and folks are not having the issues that Tom reported, I'll not pass that along. of course I will do so iof I learn that others are having problems, but it seems clear now, which is great.
I have passed along the question about the Extended Download charge, just so our sales team knows of it. However, as I mention above, that charge truly is optional and easily removeable (see my post above) for those who do not care to accept that option.
Thanks for the details, folks!

I did wind up paying the extended download charge because I wasn't watching.
But to be honest, I don't object to it because that was my own fault for not paying attention.
Also, although it is kind of pointless when all you are buying is a key code, extended download options have saved me a couple of times in the past with various software when I have had crash and had to re-download programs.
I doubt they can remove the automated function of adding it just for one product and for many of their other products it can be a benefit so I certainly won't complain too loudly.
