Tips on beating blood washes blood
JayH
i can do the first parts, but its when i get into the fortress & that monk boss's group totally owns my group everytime.
Last time i ran it i had me, monk as smite to use ursan
sabs necro mm and ss
gwen (thought id use her to try shut down the monk)
two monk henchies
interrupt hench
earth hench
Now i guess i could question me just going heal and not using ursan, but i think that was pointless, i also was going to take the n/rit of sabs instead of gwen, but i still wont be able to beat the monk boss due to lack of firepower.
if i attack any of the other blademasters or the dominator they just get healed too much, eventually i get nuked by there fire charr.
i did manage to get gwen powerblock the monk, but by then my team was more or less doomed, those blademasters really do pack a punch. even with aegis and the ward from the earth hench.
can i ask for any of you to post the builds you have used? its the most annoying quest in eotn.

It's never failed me. Normal mode is easy enough that if you modify your own build to counter anything stronger than normal, it will be enough in most cases. If you're a monk, I'd suggest taking out a monk hero, running that bar or a similar one, and replacing it with a damage/inturupt hero.
This setup has gotten me through 99% of all the campaigns, BwB included.
(Oh, and aim for the ones with Resurrects first).

I had no trouble with this in normal mode. But recently I spent way too much time on this mission in Hard mode.
I came up with 2 solutions that worked for me, the rit one is by far better.
sorry I'm about to leave work and I dont have time to post exact builds.
1st solution:
greater conflagration ranger with frozen soil, concussion shot, and mesmer skill mantra of flame
curse nec with mantra of flame
mm nec with mantra of flame
me - ub with mantra of flame before taking form
lina, mhenlo, cynn, herta
Greatly reduces damage from almost all sources because of mantra of flame combined with greater conflagration.
Frozen soil stops them from rezzing- also stops your team from rezzing.
Its still pretty hard to handle and it really helps to have a nice army of minions before taking on the monk group.
2nd solution:
me = spirit spammer ele/rit
nec/rit - spirit spammer
rit/mo - spirit spammer
ele/rit - spirit spammer
mhenlo, lina, herta, cynn
tried to get a variety of as many different harmful spirits as I could, many spirit spells of the same kind were on more than 1 hero (even though only 1 spirit of the type can be active at the same time)
Flag henches to 1 location
Flag each hero at the edges of the aggro bubble around the henches (keeping spread out to keep the spirits alive through firestorm). manually make the heros cast the spirits you want. Cast your own spirits in front of everyone else.
Go pull the group from almost as far as they will chase you. Lead them back to the spirits.
Make sure 2-3 of your heros have that hex spell that makes enemies take extra damage from spirits.
Thats it, they die pretty quick, I thought about trading out 1 spirit spammer for a ranger with frozen soil, sometimes the rez can still be a problem.
This build is cheesy and takes alot of pulling and going slow but it works very well and its better than dying 100 times like I was doing yesterday. Both the builds I posted worked in HM and worked pretty well. I am filling HM handbooks so I have to keep going back.

Heck yeah, look me up for filling some books!
These missions are sooooo much better with 2 people + heros instead of henchies:
Blood washes blood
Warband of brothers
Elusive Golemancer (mission is easy, getting there is hard)
Destructions Depths
I used that spirit spam build to get through:
blood washes blood
warband of brothers
elusive golemancer (again, referring to the trip to the mission)

Heh, I was surprised when readin' this for it not to be the Vaettirs that were the problem...
LOL
I usually run this as an Ursan with Sabs 3N heroes, Cynn, Herta, Lina, and Mhenlo.
Not so bad if you pull, take out Dominators, and for me I usually take out Monk Bosses' posse before him.
Havin' a minion army before boss group, goes a long way to makin' this easier.
GL and let us know how you fare...
=)

Oh, in hard mode?
Just make an Ursan Blessing PuG and pwn face.

Proff
It's done the same way as anything else really, watch what you aggro (meaning 1 group at a time unles you're certain you can take more on), take out the dominators or monks first depending on who's cause the most trouble for you (usually the dominators), try clearing the closest group to you and pulling the next group to the area you just cleared make sure that another group cant attack you while you're still fighting.

KD him, Daze him, bring a Mesmer, etc...
I Might Avenge U
If you're bringing Sabway, At the monk boss, macro your Curses Necro on the Monk boss and take him down as fast as possible. Spamming Hexes on him really helps..
MercenaryKnight
I never really had that much problems. Just bring sab's + ursan. Just charge right up there with your heroes and keep using the knockdown skill and as soon as the minions start exploding the pressure should outdo the monk boss.
tijo
So far i did it 2 times and both times successfully. If your norn rank is 8 or above, you can bypass the first part and break through the barricades using ursan force. That way Egil will stay with you.
1st time: I did it the normal way, went to the shrine got the blessing.
Me: BHA ranger with pain inverter, the rest same as 2nd time.
Heroes: Sab's necros
Hench: Mhenlo, Cynn, Lina and Talon
2nd time:
Me: Ursan with pain inverter, bypassed the shrine this time.
H&H: Same as first time.

I actually ran it as Ursan with
triple sabway
lina
mhenlo
herta

and more or less had a simple time. target dominators first. you can bring mirror of disenchantment to pry off conjure flame or aegis or something. this was for HM

Me (ranger) = ursan
Master of Whispers N/Mo as Jagged Bones Bomber w/ Prot Spirit and Aegis
Olias N/Rt as SS w/ Death Pact Signet
Livia N/Rt as WoR healer
Lina
Mhenlo
Cynn
Eve (for blood rit)
My advice for clearing out fort: Flag heros and henchies at the entrance
Use ursan skill to pull one group at a time.
Knock the flameshielder who uses meteor shower first and then switch to the other and kill him. Then kill the dominator to prevent res chant. Or, go Mo/R and take frozen soil to prevent rezzes. For the group of seekers, try and tank the damage.
Make sure you have stalwart insignias so that phys. damage is reduced.
On the monk boss, focus fire on the dominator, then go for the monk boss. Or if you have FS, go straight for the monk boss. Try to use Ursan Rage once he is at around 3/4 health, because that is when he will try to start healing.
If you can't get it, pm me in-game.

Sorry for my lack of response here.
I managed to team up with Jhadine, as i still couldnt manage it H+H.
I ended up running 600hp monk with smiter, and he ran ursan elite with spirits.
I tanked the enemies (600 is VERY fast killing charr) and i pulled the boss into his spirits and he died.
2 Lame team builds, yes.. but it beats wasting 30mins of my time trying to H+H it.
Thanks for your builds anyway
