If I choice between solo farming secret lair of snowmen vs. glnt's challenge for destroyer cores. Which is more profitable in your opinion and will bring faster profits and why?

BTW, i do secret lair with an ele using obsidian flesh and stoneflesh aura and using sliver as my damage dealer and bathazaar's spirit as energy management. even in Hard mode, the snowmen aren't able to do +30 damage on their regular projectiles and you don't need armor of earth. For some reason, mischievous snowmen can kd and daze you even though they can't use a snowball.

I would say GC, because of the huge price of cores, and the fact that you're more likely to get something worth money in GC rather than SLotS.

On the other hand, if reputation is worth something to you, SLotS gives tons of dwarven reputation points.

But in all farming, I guess it comes down to luck...Who knows? Maybe you'll get a q7 max gold eternal blade from Freezie

You'll probably get more money from farming destroyer cores in Glint's challenge.

You'll probably get more money from farming in hard mode though, I seem to get at least one rare item each run. (Best I've gotten is 5 in one run.)

I personally think Glint's Challenge is better. Cores sell for ~400g ea, Destroyers seem to have a higher Dye drop rate, and you get quite alot of items. Personally I do it in HM, just for the increase prices of whites.

Anyway incase you want faster way of Core farming with the Ele (and didn't already know), just use Alkar's Concoction to speed things up (take quest, put in Xunlai, abandon, repeat). It's only 1 per minute, but it's still a good 100 damage. Just watch out for the Vengeful Weapon.

That's the Ele build I use for HM Glints. I got this from an old thread and it still works like a charm. Getting the pattern down takes a little practice and finding the right place to stand so the destroyers always aggro you before the dragon can take a bit of experimentation, too. Basically, you let them aggro you for 3 minutes and then walk over and kill the right group and then the left group. Nice thing is that no drop-stealing heros are needed.

On topic, I recently sold the 220 cores I gathered for 88K, so I tend to think it is probably more profitable than the Snowmen Lair.

That said, I have never soloed Snowmen, and I need reputation points more than gold these days. If you could post your solo build, I will try it and let you know.

I used to solo farming secret lair of snowmen a LOT before they added the 'forgotten' knockdown skill. At that time it was most profitable to farm the first 3 groups as an ele. I'd get about a gold a run, with a run taking 2-3 minutes and a monk tome every 4 runs or so.
The knockdown skill, slowed the farm down too much for it to make sense anymore.
I'd go for Glints' Challenge and sell the cores.

Farming Snowmen in the dungeon: " Secret Lair Of The Snowmen ", accessed in the Umbral Grotto from Koris Deeprunner, providing you've given him the top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right map pieces (can be bought from other players).
