Pinging problems seems to appear "only" on english players.
Me & mates from spain, can ping as always but.. if we press the Ctrl key(language change to Eng), there is no text, same as you.
Maybe is a glitch with the english lang ping text from the update

I dl'd about 200 files and we got almost nothing.
Also, yeah, now if you call a skill this is what happens. Let's say Bob The Nubkaek wants to call that he's using Frenzy. In the teamchat, you see:
Bob the Nubkaek:
Instead of...
Bob the Nubkaek: I'm using Frenzy!
I assume it's a bug, if they wanted to remove skill pinging they wouldn't make the character say a blank line of text.

The thong still prevails and that's great news. Other updates are meh. I'd check the dat file to see what's going on.

So the most noticed part of this update is a bug it brought, though three out of four updates were bug fixes? Ironic.

Extra files in update are for the upcoming addition to the game, similiar to Sorrows Furnace.

I'm glad they fixed it though. I know Spanish, but not well enough to know technical GW words and spanish skill names.

Maybe they rotate their staff's GW1 time. So like every staff member has to spend 99% of their time on GW2 and 1% on GW1, and the turn of the Cynn's dress maker came up.

Editing the texture and using that with TexMod crashed my game a while ago. So maybe that was that.

Since it has been fixed what was the exploit all about. I always hear about this crap after the fact.

It is because texmod tries to run GW version 1000, and when you get the update page it starts installing version 1001, and screws it up. It has always been like that.
