Itemcoo bot spamming in RA id1
erk
These Itemcoo bots spamming advertisments in the RA staging area for over a month now since I bought it up last, they spam ads ever 30 sec in id1. The virtually impossible not to notice for any A.net support person that bothers to go and look. And local chat is full of complaints about them.
Does A.net not care?

Yes, but there are lots of bots, and Anet cannot destroy them all

I'm sure they do care, but as you've probably read before...once they nuke one bot, another appears. Nuke...new bot...nuke...new bot.
These companies keep them coming, and unless I'm mistaken, I think it's close to impossible for them to get the company/business/people in charge stopped. And even if they did...guess what? They'd just recreate, and come back.
They're meant to be stopping trial accounts though so who knows, it could improve.

So they simply block the IP address the bots are coming from or make itemcoo a censored word.
They could hire a 16 year old for peanuts to camp the areas and kill bots.

Pay attention to kings road!
Just ban access to the PVP isles for trial accounts? Make them able to access PVE only.

Strip the trial accounts of chat abilities. Problem solved permenantly.

I kind of like the idea of making the gold site names censored or deleted. Kind of like how if you type "WTS" in Local, the message doesn't appear at all. There's just no need to ever say "itemcoo" or any of the other shit I've been spammed with constantly since the took down the server borders.
Anet suppressed it for awhile, but lately I've noticed it's back and worse than ever. You can't swing a dead kirin in Shing Jea without hitting two spambots and a level two ele with a name like Djhfg Vysds.

The only way game companies will ever stop this nonsense if by declaring all out war on the idiots that buy gold. Targeting the spammers isn't going to work. What I want to see is not just active tracking and banning of the players that buy it, but aggressive enforcement of the EULAs via expensive lawsuits against people that violate them in this way by buying the gold. Quantify the damages based on the expected number of people who drop their subscriptions because of the aggravation caused by spammers and damaged in-game economics that make it harder for everyone else to play fairly.
Make it economically self-destructive for the jackholes that buy gold to do so and maybe they'll think twice before cheating in the future and causing this kind of crap to proliferate.

... YOUR!!
That itemcoo in ID1 is just too annoying. I'll stay in American or Europe servers..

as proof they do not care:
i've been trying to persue some bots(not gold sellers) in RA, ANet still have not done anything, its approaching 3 months since i've tried to get them banned, they still have the same IGN etc.
i'll provide transcript of pathetic support staff soon heh, it'll blow your mind how useless they are, and its long with several replies.

Gaile said that trial keys are going bye-bye in the near future. Just wait it out.
(Alhough I would like to see "itemcoo" made into a filtered word.)

Hey..., every time I've sent a query I've gotten a personal answer back, and 90% of the time I am helped in the way I want to be helped.
Regardless these bots stink and I don't think Anet can, in their right mind, expect to catch all of them.

Today was just crossing from Great temple to HA, upon loading in great temple I see 3 different "players" spamming 3 DIFFERENT websites. Not sure if they are increasing, could be same company with many faces :O

I just really want to know what that one in RA is talking about... King Road? ID's Halo and Glory?? Wtf
Anyone??
Anyone??

Funny. They will do almost anything to get someone to buy gold. I even reported 2 post on this forum early yesterday. O and they dont ban IP's. I wish I had the link to Gaile saying that. It is somewhere. But I'm sure they do their best to stop it. As always the crook is one step ahead of the enforcer.

Yes, anet does care. If you care, do /report, if you can't do that, take ss and report from the official site. Nothing we can do.
