Personally I think that PvP Only characters are a bit limited. Sure they get all the skills, but they should also have even more options. Take ranger for example. They should be able to pick their pet instead of having elder wolf all their career.

They should also get all the armor possible. Some of us like to customize our stuff too

and cheaply (free) too

.

Also I've got a question for you peeps reading this. Lots of skills are unique for the campaign they have, Factions, Prophecies, and Nightfall. So far I've seen no way of getting access to those skills, and I was wondering if it was possible to. Cause right now I'm friggin jealous of all those peeps with all the skills

They're meant to not start out with the coolest gear and stuff. Otherwise there's no point to pimping out a PvE char with gold or a PvP char with reward points.

That's how they market their new campaigns. If you want the new skills, you have to either buy it or buy the PvP unlock pack.

umm pvp ppl can get most of the armor pve can get.
as for the wolf - not likely - the other proffs will be making lots of neglected QQ posts.

PvE = people that can make money and buy high prestige armor
PvP = gets a few basic armors needed for fighting only
if you want prestige and PvP then play in PvP with a PvE char like i do
i got all i need for PvP with my PvE characters

It would be nice to see PvP Only characters be able to use Balthazar Faction to get PvP rewards. Of course it should not be equal to tournament points when getting said reward, maybe cost 10k faction a piece, or maybe even more like 20k faction a piece. I don't know, there's a ratio like this for Zaishen Keys, I'm sure something could be made for armor.

agreed. i do the exact same thing. all my pvp characters are 100% prepped for pvp and all have pimped out armor/weapons

You can already unlock any armor or weapon skin easily enough with Reward Points. I don't see why this system needs to be altered.

Actually you don't unlock those skins. You just upgrade a weapon with different skin. When you delete that weapon, you have to spend reward points again to get that skin. But yea, I believe you meant this, but I wanted to make this thing clear to others too.

If I didn't have to like PvE (just for the sure excitement of attaining gold) and pimping out my characters, and your option was available, I would just make PvP characters and do it that way. And being monetarily challenged, that's your problem, like most things you will ever want, you will have to pay for it, deal with it like the rest of world.

PvP has never been about "looking good" per se. If you want all that good looking stuff then you have to use a PvE character and 'work' for it.

I see no reason to change things at this point.

True, though it can be considered unlocking - as while you have the armor piece/weapon in your inventory you can use the J menu to customise it as much as you want.

Much as with PvE items; just don't delete it.

pvp only is a limited expirience because they only get to do ra/ta/ab/hb/ha/gvg. not alot of choices Me thinks. with the interduction of pvp skill unlock packs they have ruined pvp even more.

you do not have to be pvp only to have all the skills just play pvp and unlock them. (go cap the elites with a pve char if you want to save time)

I have been playing for 2+ years (been UAX for to long) uax=unlocked everything, I have no pvp skill packs (they go against my beliefs) if you buy skills with real money it is the same as buying gold for real money.

It is better if you do both pve and pvp.

do not be jealous of people with uax (they have either played long enough to unlock everything with B faction, or have unlocked with a mixture of B faction and gold, or they bought the pvp skill packs which is cheating (IMO)

In order to get more armor you have to win tournys and earn reward points with those you can unlock more armor/weapons for a pvp char of your choice.

in both pve and pvp you have to fight/earn better equipment.

Not sure if this is a great idea, but as long as it is retroactive (at least to what I currently own) I would be happy about it. Great PvE money sink if someone just wanted to unlock armor skins too.

I suggested PvP Reward Pets about a month ago, I really don't see why not, I'm kind of tired of the Elder Wolf.

You can get most (if not, all) armors for PvP characters through Reward Points, and I'm pretty sure you can get about 80% of weapon skins that are available in PvE, and a few that are PvP-only skins.

As for the skills, Anet isn't going to give you Factions skills if you don't own Factions, otherwise, if you were a PvPer, there would be no point to buy the game, it's just a good business model; and if you can't afford $20 every couple months, you're either 12, or homeless, and you probably can't afford an Internet connection anyway.. I don't think any campaign (even EotN) is selling for over $20 in stores. I think you can even purchase every campaign for $50 in a collection or something. Guild Wars isn't expensive at all.

No, with tournamemnt reward points. The only way to get Tournament reward points right now is to either do well in GvG or 1v1 ATs, or wait once a month for MATs and particpate in Xunlai House.

It helps in RA. People see elite armor and think you are a noob, so they press tab. Its not a great advantage, but it takes some pressure off you.

PvP characters have no need for vanity. Having the other team die is reward enough.
