Spinoff: How many of your PVE characters do you play regularly?
Kobe#2
With titles came the incentive to play a minimal amount, if not only 1, of character(s). So, just wondering, how many of you have dedicated all your time and effort into playing and pimping out (i.e. getting elite armors, weapons, minis, titles, etc.) only one or two main characters? How many of you play multiple classes on a regular basis and try to pimp them all out?
Personally, I primarily play monk and Paragon, but I have a Warrior, Ranger, and Assassin that I play when I get bored of playing one profession for too long. I'm not much of a title chaser.

Two. My Mesmer for usual stuff, but I bring out my Necro for UW farming runs. Both have max gear, but the Necro is just utility (15k armor but quite standard blue weapons). Mesmer has far more time put in.

I have 3 characters that I play regular. My monk, mesmer and ranger. Last few months I've been working on my ranger more. But I do switch between my other 6 pve chars too.

interesting post...so I will reply
I am probably among the rarest piplz in gw that play only one char from the time I got the game( 1 year ago)...
I play sin, not so much title chaser, usually play ab cause I like killing other human players and hoping that will paly GvG, but need to buy new comp

my ele, monk and necro mostly
ele for PvE
monk goes for PvP and the necro for PvP purposes too
sometimes my warrior, but not that much

eh about 3 i guess 4 if you count my pvp slot as a char =p

Hmm... well I would say I only regularly play one toon, my ele. I bring my Mes and Monk out on occassions when needed and to break the title grind :P

Well, out of my ten characters, I definitely play my necro the most. However, I have spent about twice my necro's play time on my other characters combined; so they do see a lot of play. My necro being my "main" is not so much about the titles (which I have little interest in), but more because she was my first character, and I feel a little devoted towards her.
As far as 'pimping out' my characters? They all get the royal treatment My necro has the most completed sets, but I do have multiple elite armors on most of my characters, and they always get first pick of the nice gear I pick up - what I don't want gets sold, trashed, or hero'd. My warrior definitely has the most weapons/shields, though. But then again, warriors are the Barbie Dolls of GW.

I have 3 characters in total, my main and first is my Ranger created in NF, my second is a sin created for Factions and I have a PvP sin for AB.
I took my PvE sin through Factions and most of NF but then decided i had enough of him and now play exclusively with my ranger.

cosyfiep
all of them.....I try to make sure they all get out sometime during the month (thats 15 characters). Some are farther along than others, so they get a little more attention. It all just depends on what i feel like doing and what class I feel like playing---they are all different and have different personalities when they play so when I am in x mood I play x character, y mood = y character and so on.
Squishy ftw
I mostly play warrior but lately I've been using monk a lot.
All my PvE characters got max armor(most got some 15k) and runed up heroes but only my warrior and monk got perfect weapon sets with skins I like aswel.
Whereas my other pve chars just use some dumb green I found somewhere

Mostly my elementalist who was my first character. If I'm going for titles it's usually on him. I also have a monk, ranger and assassin that I play ocasisionally.
ehb101
I play all 10 of my characters one after another, guiding them through all campaigns, dungeons etc. once all that is done I will go back and work on my Warrior till Guild Wars 2. Taking breaks to play other games from time to time.
garethporlest18
I have 10 that I try to switch off. But my monk (both male and female) and warrior get played the most. Sin/Ranger and Ele come in 2nd place, because there will be moods when I just wanna play those and they replace the monk or warrior.
Kay84
Recently I've only been playing on my ele because I'm focussing on my titles. Since I don't have the time to grind titles for multiple chars, the other 10 have become mules.
Lyger
I keep up with 3 of my PvE characters - My Mesmer (main), my Monk and my Assassin.

my main is my warrior. i only play my warrior, never anything else for pve (but i have done everything there is to do with every other proffession and i'm quite excelled at all the proffessions, imo). for pvp i play any and everything (but 80% of the time i play as monk). i have 1 of every proffession and then i have 2 warriors. my warrior atm is at 26 maxed titles and will have 30 within 2 weeks. kudos!
jammerpa
Out of 9 toons, I only play 2 regularly... my Necro that I'm getting all my titles on, and my monk that I farm with.
On occasion I'll dust off my ranger and do some AB, but sadly, the rest have become mules.

Have 3 in total.
Warrior - lvl20
Para - lvl16
Rit - lvl2
Warrior was my main until I got the hang of playing Paragon. I don't play much so they will keep me busy for a while.
I don't do title grind. However, I'll aim to get protector/Vanq for all areas, just because they are rewarding in their own right.

draxynnic
I play all 10. Some I prefer to others, of course, but I don't abandon my characters. Titles that require you to exclusively play one character can go swimming in lava without Frigid Armour in my considered opinion.
hallomik
I have 10. At any give time, I will be mainly playing one primarily. Right now, I'm taking my 'Sin through EotN. Since I have some favorite farming spots on my monk and ele, I will often go back to them if I get tired of questing.
Because of excessively farming on my monk in NF, I got the Sunspear max title without trying. After that, I did the protector series with her and then 2 cartogs and recently lightbringer during the double weekend. So, overall, I've played the monk the most over the last 6 mos.

Stormcaller
I have 3 PvE characters but I play on my Monk more as it has more progress on titles, is also my main character and all I have left of when I first started playing GW.
Pleikki
NEc and monk and sin my 3 main characters Others i hardly play but sometimes ofc.
boarderx
i use all 10 but Dervish is the one i use most (monk, warrior, necro, and ele get a lot of playing time too though). I tend to spoil them all with goodies (especially my monk and derv)
GrimEye
Of my ten chars, my Ritualist is my main, and gets the most pimping treatment right now. He does all: questings, farmings, titles, and some PVP. But my Ranger is my main PVP. So those two get most playing time now.
But my ritualist still had to equal my Necro and Monk of total hours played.

My warior-My main
My paragon- It rapes

Before the explosion of titles, I had a slot for each character class and played them all. Now, I really only focus on one or two. Only one has finished EOTN (and has finished it multiple times to fill up reputation books). Its all about skill over time spent after all, right?
On the one hand, I miss my mesmer. On the other hand, too many in the community seem to have a list misfit classes and would never take them anymore, even if they had never played as one.

Olim Chill
I play my PVE main character almost exclusively. Once in a while I'll play my PVP toon for a change of pace.
WinterSnowblind
Warrior, Monk, Ranger and Mesmer. I also play as my Elementalist occasionally, but my Warrior is my primary character that I use for getting titles and what naught.
Kusandaa
The characters I play the most: necro > monk > dervish > para > the rest.
I do all my title hunting on my necromancer since he's my main... while I pimp most of my characters out (necro gets stuff first, for sure... but doesn't mean my other chars are left out x]).
I don't play on my PvP much... probably because I don't play PvP much, lol.

stretchs
Since the titles change, I have spent my time doing titles on 1 character, but I spend alot of time on my other chars. I just get bored with 1 profession after a while, shoot I get bored with playing a male ele and go to play my female one and sometimes that is enough change for me

hmm lets see..
I have 9 slots, All of which have completed the story lines in all chapters.. all have 1-3 sets of armor and several max weapons etc.
The following I play daily:
1. my pvp slot.. which has been getting a lot of use lately.
2. my monk
3. my necro which is working on Kobd level 1.. need one title to go, so a little grinding each day and ill have it one of these days
4. my war
my other chars are done all the chapters and only really get used for storing crap and helping guildies if they need the professions for any missions/quests/dungeons

erfweiss
I have 10 PvE characters that I play. However, I only play a few of them.
My Paragon gets the most work (title character, 15 titles). My ranger, assassin, rit, and mesmer see some play.
On the flipside, my dervish has been reduced to occassional runner and storage (even though I finished 2 campaigns with her).

I have taken the philosophy that I will exclusively play one character until I'm finished with a campaign, and then I will switch to another character and solely play them through a different campaign.
Definitely keeps it "fresh", as most times I've forgotten how to play a character in the 4-5 months that I've left them on the shelf.

The Way Out
I used to play a lot of characters, however, the need for a good monk became really great in our guild... so I shifted gears and began playing one... got addicted to it... and stuck with it (title hunting takes up all my time). However, I am the type of person that will powerlevel a new PvE Character, spend xxx gold on getting them ready for Elite farming, run them to places on my second account, and then abandon them when the farming begins to suck. hehe... I need a life.
Terraban
I play any character I feel like playing at any given time.
Titles = Fail
Titles = Fail
SpeedyKQ
Have 8 characters, used to play them sorta equally. With titles, I now play 3. Going for Legendary Vanquisher on my mesmer, Legendary Guardian on my rit, and Master of the North on my ele.
Sometimes I fret that I could have I'm Very Important if I stuck to one character, but I'd get bored playing only one character all the time. And really, the titles are about the journey more than the destination.

Ranger only these days.
