im having trouble opening a storage account with the xunlai. i start the quest and then speak to the woman again. but all shes asks me is have i opened my storage account yet. im currently playin on a buddy code from a friend. would that have anything to do with it?

I think you're trying to open the account from the wrong npc (the quest-giver in Kamadan?). Talk to the Xunlai Agent next to the Xunlai chests, she will open the storage for you.

Press Alt and look around. They are in two different places.
