Here are some clues to have the best clues to ifnd gold max req7's
manitoba1073
1. They will not drop in HM
2. They will not drop from creatures higher than lvl 20, lvl 19 is the cut off point for q7
3. They will not drop from creatures lower than lvl 14, lvl 15 is the cut of before not getting max damage.
So that gives you the range of lvl 15 - lvl 19. The closer you get to lvl 19 creatures the higher chance they will be max damage however the lower the lvl chance for them to be q7.
That is the best range to have the highest chance to find them.
Why havent people found them recently you ask, well heres the simplest answer I can give.
The main reason why people seem to think they dont drop anymore is really simple. The level range for a q7 to drop is 15-19 the cahance for one to drop from a lvl20 isnt even worth mentioning its that small. Now look where all the q7 have been found at. They are found in those areas now compare the areas of all campaigns to prophicies and then look what the level of creatures are in those relative same areas would be. Its cause after prophecies the majority of the lvls you fight are lvl20+ wheres its not till the desert in prophicies that you really start fighting lvl 20+. That is why people seem to think they dont drop anymore.
Anet has not removed q7 max from dropping ingame. Its just that the lvl ranges have increased dramasticlly for the majority of the other campaigns and the expansion.
BTW for those that still wish to claim they dont drop any longer this is for you.
QUOTE=Gaile;5283696]I spoke with our designer who specializes in items, John. John told me that yes, Req 7 items do drop, but "they are super rare." John knows his stuff, and if he tells me a definite and immediate "yes," as he did, then I believe that he is certain that his answer is accurate.
He's a busy guy, and I got the answer that was requested. I hope you'll understand that I'd rather not go bug him for "is that max this or that skin or those specs or which campaign or what chest or...?" I think it's cool that they drop, and I guess over time, the odds improve that one will be offered for sale or trade. Well, it may be unless the person who gets the drop values having it over selling it, of course. If I got one, I don't think I'd ever part with it![/QUOTE]
Remember guys its upto you if you want to share where you find one and no need to thank me either as thats not why I offered this little bit of info up. Just figured it was time to share the little secret a very very few actually knew.

The quote is actually from the past few days, someone asked her and she reported back. They do officially still drop.

They still do drop as confirmed by Gaile but OP's point is a bit questionable.

Now level >=15 I'll probably believe, but why not in HM and why not higher than level 20? Because of the level of the creatures in HM are a minimum of lvl 24 and the chances to get one from there is so astronomically small its not really worth even trying.
Where exactly do you think 99% of the other ones dropped from and there lvl ranges were. Req 7 celestials item came from a great number of vermin and the chests near them. Sunqa blades from SJ island chests in the last area, once again there lvl range. In prophicies the most req 7's came from maguuma jungle region to crystal desert again whats the lvl ranges there.

I didnt say it wasnt luck in getting one. However you do have to look in the right place to start with. Its that simple. Your best chances to find them is where I said. No one is forcing you or anyone else to do it. You just like everyone else has the choice to do this. If you dont believe or dont want to that is fine. You dont go to a tofu shop to buy beef now do you?

how do u think i dont believe req 7s drop? they do and i know u need to look in the right place but wht im saying is its a total fluke tht u get one and dont bother all ur time into trying to get a req 7 because u hav slim to no chance ull get one.

Thats why I said it was peoples choices to look and helped them to know where. No ones saying waste all your or anyones elses time looking. However if they so chose to do it now they know the best places and what to look for to have the best chance to do it. Thats all I have been saying and posting all along. Nothing more and nothing less. You cant win the lottery if you dont play. And now if anyone else comes into the forum they can be directed here or if they need they get redirected with the search.

just prove it wrong That is tough to do - I can't prove many things to be wrong. Without meaning anything personal (wait a bit before you flame me) I can't prove you aren't an idiot. While I don't particularly think you are, there is no way to prove you aren't. There is also no way to prove I'm not legally retarded either and I'm pretty sure I'm not legally retarded any more than you are stupid- yet stating that I am isn't going to get one very far unless you can prove I am not.
As such, especially if it isn't "common knowledge" (and that isn't terribly accurate most of the time either) they need to prove it. The OP stated something fairly concrete and testable that no one else is privy too and, as such, really needs to prove it. That or they need to add a disclaimer that this is what they *think* to be the case. At the least they need to show that they are mostly correct based on what past req 7's dropped, otherwise it is just numbers they chose at semi-random.
Yet, I do tend to think they are on the right tract. My drops have changed quite a bit since I started farming HM and I have always been the type that farmed steady income (never had the time needed to devote to runs that would pay off in rares). I sometimes found a true rare before but haven'tin a while. Were I to tell you a difference it was with level and the "rare" was on the low end of the requirements. I would definitely say that if level played a part in requirements then I can *fully* understand why we see so few req7's due to HM farming.
I also can't say it wouldn't be "profitable" to farm for them unless you were able to give the requisite amount of hours to find one. If you get one every 2000 hours then someone like me who only has 1600+ hours in game it doesn't make sense to farm them yet people who have played 6000+ hours maybe so (given that bids are into the millions of plat).
Eh, it's not that clear cut. Though, with respect to the quote it is the responsibility of the person making a claim to at least show a preponderance of the evidence. This is especially true if something goes against "conventional wisdom".

I'm going to do some research with these theories today
seeing as though i have hardcore farmed many areas and never gotten a r7 weapon, if i get one, things might be looking up

She asked some person and he said definitely they do drop. Not "They used to drop but they don't anymore"...

Does it really matter? if u get a q7 item good for you.. I dont see why people make such a fuss and go "bla bla bla wrong bla bla bla" and "bla bla bla luck bla bla bla" not like never getting a q7 max is the end of the world..

Well if it helps, i had PURPLE and WHITE r7 max dmg fellblades dropped in ring of fire islands (white one was from spider and purple from dryder). Purple had no initiante modifier however. If item requirement is connected to the mob level, i think your teory is false. (i'm assuming that same rules for base items apply for all item qualities)
This was over a year ago however.

This was over a year ago however. it is connected. You wont find a max damage from a lvl 14 and below and wont find a req7 from above lvl 20 ( minus very very small exceptions) which them being so small a chance it really isnt worth taking a note on them.

That's just the point of my post. Both r7s i got were from lvl 24 monsters.

If a number of the people working for Anet can come out and say that Req 7s drop, why the hell would you continue to deny it? Sorry to break it to you, but you aren't important enough for Anet to lie blatantly to... so seriously stop with the "or GTFO" stuff :P

Did you miss the point where I said the exceptions? I said the chances of those comming from those higher levels are very very small. Grats on being lucky enough to hit that small chance.

Actually, there is very much an argument that they drop. What you may have meant, however, is that no one is disagreeing that they droppED.

I seriously doubt that the designers would allow a character to create a weapon, considering the risk it would create in such an unbalanced economy as GW's that an admin would create an impossible item eg. r6 weapon or alot of armbrances.
