Buying Serial # For a Friend?

Hi guys, I hope you could answer my question on this=) I just got my friend to try out guild wars (with a trial account) and I was thinking of giving my dear friend a real serial number so that we could play it together for a long time. Is it possible to buy a serial number from the site and then give the number to my friend? Thanks and I hope somebody could help me=)

* Oh and if my friend made a character in Factions, will it be possible to use that character in Prophecies if I give my friend a serial # for Prophecies (as if my friend was just starting in Prophecies)?

Oh I meant, buying from the plaync store, I don't go for ebay stuff for games, just too risky for me Does the plaync store email a serial number to use which I can just easily give to my friend to put in the access code?=)

haha, yeah sorry im retarded, forgot about the store. (i quit 2 months ago and starting to play again ) anyways, whatever account your logged onto the game you bought will be automatically added to it. only email you should get is a receipt

They don't e-mail you a code I believe. You just log in to the account (your friends trial account or one that he creates). Then you go to manage keys or whatever and go to the store and buy the game and it auto links to the account you use.

yeah i think they do email you the key, but they just say keep it for reference, but thats through the online store. but if you want him to play, my idea would be log onto his account and buy it through the online store or just the play nc site. I've never used the play nc site, but i bought my friend nightfall when i logged onto his account through the online store.

Oh thanks that gave me a nice idea! So I can just use my credit card, put my info there to pay while logged on my pal's account, and it'll be added to my friend's account=D

If you want to buy through PlayNC, first create an PlayNC account for him(or have him create it himself). Then log in through that account and purchase it. Alternately, you can log into his trial account and purchase it through the online store.

To answer your second question, no. A Factions born character will remain locked(but deletable) if you only add a Prophecies key to it.

Ah ok thanks for that, so if the character made in Factions were to be deleted when my friend has full access with a serial for Prophecies, then the same character (who is a warrior) can be made with the same name=D

Just to add a confirmation;

When I purchased Eye of the North through the online store, while the key was automatically entered and applied, I did recieve an email receipt that also included the Serial-Key code that it applied for my account.

I never bought a chapter via the ingame store, but i did buy several slots and i received those keys too. However by the time you receive that email, those keys are already added to your account (the one that you used when you bought your stuff). So i dont have a clue of the use of sending me those keys but i never can use them again...

When you say "site," you are referring to plaync.com, am I right? If that's the case, then you may purchase game account key and give it to your friend.

I purchase all my chapters from plaync except for Prophecies (i bought from store). Each time I purchased a chapter, I received a key that I can use in the game (Add a Key or Create New Key option). The key is not automatically added to my main account.

When I purchased upgrades (BMP, GWEN, Skills unlock), they were automatically included in my main game account (the plaync account where I attached my main game account).

I have 2 game accounts. One account is complete, another account is only Prophecies, GW:EN and Bonus Weapon.
