Guild Wars Prophecies

Hey, I've been trying to get hold of Prophecies for a while now, but I can't find anywhere that has a good price range or is in stock.. I live in the UK so anyone from the UK or anyone who knows where I could get a decent price in £, could you recommend me a site? Thanks

I would get Platinum Edition (Prophecies and Eye of the North) from the in-game store, unless you don't have any other Guild Wars accounts? I live in the UK aswell, and I saw Platinum Edition in Game... I'm not sure. If all else fails go to amazon.co.uk.

Thanks, but I checked game and amazon, but they're both out of stock (of prophecies anyway, the platinum edition is £30 on amazon and in game its out of stock :|

I bought it from the in-game store, costs a fiver more but you get instant access and can download the manual, so you aren't really missing anything that you'd get from a boxed version.

To be honest I've barely looked at the manual. The best info you'll get on the game comes from these forums and GuildWiki.

there's practically nothing in the manual..just a layout of the keyboard and what each button does...
you can get that by looking at your keyboard settings in-game

I think you're thinking of something else there. The manual is pretty big and includes a good deal of lore, in addition to instructions on how to play. You can a look at it here.

I'm in the same boat. I wanted to get Prophecies cheap for a second account and couldn't find it in stock anywhere (the Plat version is way too expensive, even if it does come with EoTN). I eventually ordered Prophecies SE from http://www.gameplay.co.uk for £9.99, but it's not actually in stock, so I'm having to wait and hope.

FYI, though, http://www.dvd.co.uk still has copies of the EotN pre-order pack, for anyone interested in the bonus weapons.

Correct me if I'm misreading this, but how could the in-game store be "out-of-stock"? All they do is add an access key to your account (either a PlayNC account or an account set up using a trial key).
Unless, of course, they have started to wind down GW1 by not selling new accounts....... (or "in game" means something else?)

Aaaargggh :@! I still can't find the game anywhere! I looked in the actual shops but didn't find any of them selling it, I checked all the websites suggested here and I just can't find it anywhere!

That sucks. Though, except for EotN, GW's gotten a bit rare in my area as well. Took me 5 stores (2 Wal-Marts, 2 EBGames and a Future Shop) to find a copy of the GotY edtion when I got it a couple of days ago - but didn't see any Factions, 3 Nightfalls, and only 1 Platinum Edition in those stores, plus the 2 GotY's in the second of the EBGames. They all had EotN, though

HMV maybe? I know they sell it, unsure on price though.
