Skeleton Keys
assassin shaun
i think that when you are a high enough level (15+) you should be able to buy a skeleton key that can open any chest but will not break until you have opened 10-20 chests with it. how many chests you open with it will depend on your lucky title track so low lucky track= 10 high lucky track= 20
the skeleton key will of course be expensive eg 5-7k
so what do you think?

i think in theory it is good but i dont think so...
maybe a key that is like a consumable that doesn't break once and then turns into a lockpick?

Maybe if the cost were around 50K. Otherwise,

Basically a super lockpick?
Meh. I like the idea of having my key/pick last longer, but it ain't gonna happen.
/notsigned if that matters

News for you: Lockpicks stack.
"Key that can open any chest but will not break until you have opened 10-20 chests with it"= Stack of 20 lockpicks.

The chest idea is pretty ludicrous as it stands, so skeleton keys lock picks or just a very big hammer should be what's needed to open a chest.
Whatever strange power came over the developers when they came up with the idea that all the abandoned chests in a given country would all use the same key.
Not only that but every time you open your own chest the key is destroyed.
I hope a more realistic idea for random treasure spawns is in gw2

Why do we need a new system? Personnaly I would like to see some type of PvE skill that gave a random chance (possibly even linked to the lucky/treasure hunter titles) at unlocking a chest, cooldown of 10 min +, not recharged by killing a boss.
