"Hai I'm George, I'm moving Christmas to March 9th because 14 guild wars players cannot attend wintersday. Sorry for the inconvenience!"
I kinda think the holidays in-game aren't as fun when if they dont coincide with the real life holidays. Like wintersday (I know its meant to be a mixture of holidays) just wasnt anymore fun after xmas. I was just kinda tired of the holiday, didn't want to end it irl so I could spend a few more days of it in-game.
I think that OP is in bad situation making this kind of suggestion, because few regulars here have enough life to make "festivities with family/friends" viable option (or their family does not really celebrate it) and are happy there will be something to farm during those few days off school/work.

Apparently not modest enough. Good idea though. I've always thought it a poor play to put holiday events and the like on halloween and christmas, etc. I'm sorry, but I'm going to spend my holidays with my friends, not logged in to some game. |

j/k
This is causing a lot of concern in certain communities. Many dioseces (sp?) are cancelling all St Patrick's day parades because of the timing.
It hasn't happened in 40 years but is a real problem with sceduling festivities during what is supposed to be a solemn time.

Beat to it.
