VERY Slow Connection

Hello,
I can usually download GW Updates at 150-220KB/second, and play GW with around 100 ping.
Recently(last few days), GW has been going at a few bytes per second, to 2KB per second. Whereas, my internet on anything else is fine and fast.

What should I do?
I have tried Reinstalling, renewing DNS Cache, Getting new IP...

Thanks,
Leo

There's literally thousands of things that could be causing a general "slow connection", you should REALLY try googling this first as it's such a broad and incredibly vague problem.

It cant be that vague, as everything but Guild Wars has a very fast connection speed...

Okay I can't rem the exact switch and I'm in a bit of a rush, but do a search on command line switches and you will find one (possibly /diagnose) which will ping your gw connection from your end to theirs, and may show where in the route things are going wrong. Once you have done that people will be more able to help you if you post those details here. Also if you tell us which servers you are using, i:e Euro, US etc. The more information you supply the more likely someone can tell you what the cause is.

What izzywish is talking about is a traceroute, which tracks the route data takes from your computer to guild wars. Next time you load guild wars, get the IP address of the server from the little connection dot, write it down, and close GW. Click start->run and type cmd. Type in these commands and we'll be able to tell if it's your connection to guild wars that's slowing you down:
ping www.google.com
ping ip.that.you.wrote.down.earlier
We're looking for the times on these packets, usually measured in milliseconds. If the guild wars ping time is much longer than the google time, we can assume that it's your connection to guild wars.

HI Turgon! i did what you suggested because i got some problems with gw connection too, i live in sweden so everyting is written in swedish, in the cmd. But when i did the ping in google it had 33ms response and everything looked normal, but when i pinged the ip that i wrote down it said: "The request/demand/application did timeout", and another thing: packets send: 4, packets lost: 4, packets recieved: 0. Does this mean something to you? thx for any answer.
