Could this be worth farming?
Shadow Own
ok, i've helped a friend with a quest and we were with 2 human, 6 heroes on NM
the quest was assault on beknur's harbor and i have actually found out that there are MANY drops there, ill try to add a picture and i'd like to know if its worth farmin in HM.
i thought of 600/smite farming as u get like at least 12 monsters at same time for 55, maybe u even have to add a QZ ranger in the back for constant Spellbreaker.

An interesting concept...Other than the possibility of being overwhelmed, I can't see any reason that you couldn't 55 this in HM...Probably Mo/Me for [skill]Mantra of Resolve[/skill] because all the Ridgeback Skales have [skill]Agonizing Chop[/skill]
I'd try it, but my monk isn't NF born

Do those Blighters use Chilblains? If they do it could probably be done with 600/smit. If they dotn use Chillblains a 330 rit or Mo/D 55 monk with Mystic Regen could probably do it.
On terms of drops.. I doubt it.. Skales dont drop decent things as far as I'm concerned.

This would probably be doable with a simple 55 w/ SoA and SH. Maybe SoJ for damage?
Preliminar bar without knowing much:
[skill]Shield of Judgment[/skill]
[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill]
[skill]Healing Breeze[/skill]
[skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill]
[skill]Shielding hands[/skill]
[skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill]
[skill]Blessed Aura[/skill]
Optional... maybe Essence bond, mending, or some other damage.

[skill]Grenth's Balance[/skill] [skill]Rotting Flesh[/skill] [skill]Vile Touch[/skill] [skill]Well of Blood[/skill] Are what the blighters use...
For the above build (having not done this quest and only going off the bad description of the quest on wiki) you'll want some kind of anti interrupt because there arn't many types of skale, so there will be plenty of ridgebacks, so plenty of interrupts

Too be honest, gold is never really worth farming because when split 8 ways it really starts to suck. And while 'm interested to get your findings, even if you farmed that AS effectively in HM and each one of those gold piles was 100g, you'd still only get 225 after it was split.

he means soloing it Krammit... in which case he'd get 1800 if those were each 100g.
And the optional spot in that build I wrote should probably be [skill]Mantra of Resolve[/skill], for the interrupts

I agree...My only worry would then be energy management; will they interrupt enough to bring you down to 0e and break MoR? Again, my monk is Proph born, so I can't try anything <.<

The amount of Gold dropped corresponds to loot scaling no? So in theory that much gold wouldn't drop anyway. It would scale to 1 man (or woman!)'s worth of booty.
Just my 2 Cents.

True, but it's still a lot of enemies, and Skales can drop things like Fiery Blade Axes (Or some of them can...Not sure if it's the type of monster or where they are that determines that)

Anything a 55 can farm a Obs flesh ele can farm better.
(E/Me is for wussies, E/Mo ftw).

Troll much Yoshi?
True the gold dropped may decrease with loot scaling but you will get all the item drops (scaled of course) but it is still better than 8 man, or h/h.

(E/Me is for wussies, E/Mo ftw). I'm waiting to see an obs flesh e/mo kill aataxes faster than a 55 n/mo or mo/n with SS and RH.

Lol. Cool off, it was a joke.

I have thought of farming that quest along time ago, but the only chars I made in Nightfall were my derv, para, ele, and mesmer. And I probably completed it for experience points... I think maybe my Ele might beable to get it, and actually have a build that could farm it. I'll try it out and let yas know.
Actually nevermind, I had completed it. Just found out that the only quest he has is "The Cyclone Place", which is a follow up of Assault of Beknur Harbor. Too bad you couldn't get atleast Master quest for foreign chars. But I think Cyclone Place you might beable to farm also... it says there are a good number of skale during the quest.

Oh no not another!
Ok, so there is approximately 5 groups of 28 and one group of 8, for a total of 148 skale. With my monk I could consistently complete the quest in 11 minutes (including the 1min startup.) as a smite duo, and 7 minutes with a 2man famine smite (HM of Course).
For the rewards weekends thats 14-21 per minute. While not as fast as Raptors, it is a good alternative for those that don't have EOTN & want a couple blade axes.
Unfortunately I accepted the reward for my monk, but the quest is still active with my mesmer.
I think this quest has some real potential for rewards weekends in NM, perhaps dualing shadow form nukers?

Thanks for the update ASF. Any chance you could reduce the size of the image?
I don't mean to sound like a teacher's pet but I think the forum rules are 800 px wide so our low-res brethren don't have to scroll horizontally.

If it's Scales you're interested in, there's a huge farmable mob in the first city of Farawhatsit, right before the main temple where the crusher is. After you kick their ass keep going into the ruins and take out the undead, in 1/2 an hour you'll fill your inventory, pop a few chests and get a whack at elite dervish and warrior tomes. Thing is the warrior scales, while they do have agonizing chop, they like to spam decapitate or try and waste it on your 1/4 second skills, they have to get luckier then you do. Mantra of Resolve is unnecessary, Prot Spirit, Shielding Hands, Mystic Regen and SoA are more then enough to keep you alive. You can even decoy their interrupts with SoA if you have it on your bar, then put up SoJ. If you go down there's a shrine right next to the place, lose a piece of your 55 armor and try again. The Blighters just inside the Merwhatever Keys are also farmable(you got to pull them out of their blood wells).
They like to drop the fiery/icy blade axes and sharktooth shields for me. Once while vanquishing on my warrior a Blighter dropped a non-max blue Sickle(tyrian) I keep hoping they one will drop me a max one but hasn't happened yet.
Edit, also you could make the run between the observatory and champion's dawn, there's a ton of warrior bugs, scales and drakes through there, great for war tomes.

It wouldnt be possible to 330hp rit this quest, being as one of the requirements is that the character is Elonian born (made in nightfall)

Hugh Manatee, I've farmed both of those areas, there are too many skale in this quest to not have some sort of interupt prevention. Because it's a mission style quest, having a partner or hero, is a good idea incase you die...
trinwroth, a 330 might have some success but will eventually get interupted. Also there is the Grength's Balance.
I've farmed in other areas w a VWKme with Famine/QZ/Life Bond ranger. That would do great here.
