I'm assuming this is just like any other run, you just run to the chests.
But, when I try to run it, I see no chests at all, no matter where I go.
Whenever I go with a group there are chests, but not when I'm alone.
So I dunno. I need help!

i solo FoW chest runs constantly, you just have to look long and hard.

Personally i don't see the point of farming chests. You spend more on the keys than what the items you get are worth most of the time. Usually you get a gold item but it's something that noone will buy like "Jeweled staff of tengu slaying"

I got in a group finaly, and it works much better.
And as far as items go.
Shadow Shield - Armor: 16 - Health + 44 While Enchanted.
sold for 10K

i bought 40 keys and have 10 keys left. I don´t think it is worth the time spendt. I have not found anything worth more than a couple of K.. I usually find 2-3 chests a run, but the drops are no good.... I find alot of storm bows but they are usually crap..... i have found 4-5 on the 30 keys, and they are crap...... will maybe sell for 1-2 K a peace....

Its all random... I was running boxes on Perdition rock, its cheaper, and I got nothing for a couple days. Then one day I bought 10 keys, got 8 golds, all with max mods (mostly staves or off hands) but I did pull a very very nice feathered long bow, and a wingblade. Sure it costs, but sooner or later, the "random" factor will work to your favor. In FOW I get better drops from monsters than I do boxes.

FoW chest farming seems SO stupid. If you are a warrior, try farming spiders. costs 1.5k less than that chest run, more chance of good stuffs. Yes, Chakrum outta that chest! I always get those retard mesmer items...Guess what kinda character I don't have.

chests are good way farming, when you hit the jackpot, you really hit the jackpot, and all yr problems go away, can be very expensive run, but when you get good at it, things pay off, it also pays to run as a duo, so one can test if a chest is good or not, best thing ive found is a chaos axe 15^50 req 9.
