why is this happening to me..Also yes i have defraged my gw.dat file and i have compelted scanned my system for spyware and virus and also tried with the firewall down and re-installed....

Ok my ping in other games is fine, my speed is also at it fastest in other games and downloading, i have no programs in the background downloading or streaming. I also dont usualy have a ping above 400, but for the last few days i've had 1kb's update speeds, 10K->45k average ping and impossible connecting times while loading or just plain picking char's....

Seriously though, if your other games aren't experiencing severe lag then it's probably down to a routing problem somewhere between you and ANet.
