Champ Points
clarke
Many guilds in top 100 end up disbanding or being sold to idiots, and never GvG again, but still take up a space in at the top of the ladder.
Wouldnt a system to resolve this be better?
There must be like 20+ guilds dormant and within champ range.
Perhaps implement a system within which non GvGing guilds (maybe guild that have no GvG in 3/6 months) should slowly lose rating?

Wasn't this already taken care of???
stretchs
Around the 1st of the year those "dormant" guilds were put off the ladder until they were active again, not sure what the period of inactivity is before they become inactive again, but I think there should be a req X matches a month to remain on the ladder, it doesnt have to be a long #, but there should def be a req, if not POOF there goes your rank/rating

You could clear the entire ladder and start new... or is it not that simple?

Yeah, that. Guilds inactive for 90+ days are taken off the ladder was the solution Anet came up with. Someone close this?

Reason? Guilds are for like urg 3-4 months of active? Then people have life, of course every guild, neglect of which, will eventually become inactive. They worked so hard for their rank on those active 3-4 months then have something in real life, when they come back they loose everything? WOW. If you want to surpass them then play better, win more as they stay the same!
Beside Champ pt is in the 1200 range not dependant on rank!

fwiw, this wasn't a petition or anything. What Masamune mentioned is what ANet did. At least that is the impression I got.
Honestly, if the same 8-12 people come back, do you really think they will have such a hard time getting back close to their previous ranking? If so I question their play type. Unless they ran a gimmick/exploit at some time to get there, then it tends to mean they were actually GOOD AT THE GAME and that still wins more gvg's than it loses.

Yes, there are still some stale guilds sitting in champ range, and the only way to fix it is to freeze/reset the ladder after every MAT or go back to the GWWC format, which was clearly superior.
