Birthday on a Leap Day

I was considering creating a new character tomorrow to place its birthdate on a leap day. If I were to do that, when would be the next time I would receive a birthday present? Basically, I'd like to know how the gift system works, whether it awards a gift after 365 days, or on the next date that matches the month and day of creation.

Well, I don't know the answer, but that's awesome idea. I'm gonna do it for sure.
