Hello,
New GW player here, was wondering if someone could give input on pros/cons of some, maybe list some roles, of professions in GW. One of my characters is a Mo/E right now, lvl 8. The other is a Pa/Ne (if thats the right abbreviation, haha). I'd hate to invest time in a character that didn't turn out the way i wanted it too, so any insight would be great.
My goal is to have a character that is high damage dealing but with some supportive spells. I was thinking ranger/necromancer. I only have Nightfall right now, but i stay hooked i will probably get the other expansions.
Pros/Cons in the long run

If you want high damage you will probably want an Elementalist, they have high damage spells with quite a few supportive spells. As an ele you could choose your secondary as monk for even more supportive spells.
The Daemon Warrior
Ye Ele's got High Damage and if you spend monk secondary you can do some support as well. Thing that came first to my mind was Dervish:
Scythe had high damage+can hit multiple targets. The Support comes from Skills like:
[skill]Mystic Healing[/skill], [skill]Dwayna's Touch[/skill], [skill]Imbue Health[/skill] etc. This allows a 2nd profession for other roles or more support/damage

Aleron
One of my favorite characters is a Warrior/Monk. They're fairly common, but great for farming. It doesn't deal as much damage as an ele, but can stay alive longer. Monk is a good secondary for an ele, but may want to consider a secondary with some speed skills to get out of a bad situation.

What do you mean by speed skills?
enxa
Speed skills, to get you out of a fight when you get aggro.
Something like [skill]Storm's Embrace[/skill][skill]Natural Stride[/skill]
or perhaps [skill]Death's Retreat[/skill]* to instantly teleport to an ally
*can he use this skill? since its an assasin skill, but it is a nightfall one?
If you owned factions, the ritualist would be the proffesion for you. But since you own only nightfall, i have to recommend the paragon, which is a nice damage/support proffesion.
As for weather it would be worth the time spent playing, we cant tell you that, it all depends on your preferences.

What would be a good 2nd profession for a paragon? Do all professions have some kind of speed skill or only assassins and rangers?
I think i'll stick with my lvl 7 paragon, seems the most versatile in the end game. I'm i correct on that?
