Melandru's Garden
PreciousSnuggles
Good morning, eve, afternoon, or which ever greeting best fits your location.
I'm new to prophecies (my account being only a little over a month old), but not new to Guild Wars, my first character being a Ranger in Nightfall. Anyways, I currently have a Warrior/Nothing in Pre-Searing, going for the Legendary Protector of Ascalon title. Well, there have been rumours about there being a cave that crawls with level five Oakhearts near Fort Ranik. This so called cave has a garden best known as Melandru's Garden.
I decided to wiki this, but nothing came up. The only thing I was able to find was thus:
"# Melandru's Garden - a player-named scenic area in a cave west of Fort Ranik. This would later be the starting point of the Fort Ranik mission in post-Searing. "
(line three int he points of interest)
When investigating my map, I found an area that would suffice for where the cave should be, but I cannot figure out how to get there.
The area where I think it should be is indicated in the green box:
Any help at all would be appreciated.
[Note: I have never used the forums before, so if this is in the wrong area, I seriously apologize.]

1 up and 2 down
Yeah I know where you are talking about but, there aren't any Oakhearts in Melandru's Garden.
StormDragonZ
Apparently, I get this when I search for Melandru's Garden.
Cacheelma
The only place in pre-sear with significantly-high level mobs are beyond the closed gate, no?
That, or the snowy area.

To 1 up and 2 down: Like I said, it was rumoured that there were, though wiki does say that there are oakhearts found in Regent Valley, though I have yet to find any.
To StormDragonZ: Aye, that was what I found as well, as per the link in the original post.
To Cacheelma: Most high levels are North of the gate, then nine or ten Oakhearts at level five, the three or four level three grawl mobs and the charr groups. But as stated before, there are oakhearts found in Regent Valley as per wiki.
What I was curious about, is how to get to this cave.

While I'm sorry I don't have much info about the cave I have faced the oakenhart mentioned on the wiki. I don't really recognize the area from map view, but I was a ways south of fort ranik when I found the oakenhart.

There is a cave there. It's been known about for ages. I've been in it myself. You need to walk way around the hill in front of Fort Ranik to get there. However, there's no enemies in it.
Redfeather1975
Yeah, there are no enemies in that cave.
But I haven't been in that part for a long time. I think there was a ruin in there?

Sorry, can't help about getting to that cave. Though I remember it, I haven't been to pre-sear in forever. You might try asking again over at the perma-pre community.

I believe one of the above posters was correct in anming the area south /southeast of Fort Ranik as the area where there are Oakhearts, several at least around lvl 5
Pleikki
Yeah there isnt enemies in that cave go other side of wall and you faind bigger lvl charr ..
JONO51
To get there, head to where all the gargoyles(?) are in the river next to fort rank, and at the other side, there should be a bush. Walk through that bush and there you go.

leave ranik and hug right wall.
large group of bog skales will greet you.

If he states that there's a rumour of enemies being there, then he'd want to know the truth about there being enemies there or not. Try to keep up with the conversation, Chik. I know it's hard for you, but you'll get there. Read slowly.

Additionally:
as far as I know there are only 3 creatures below the wall that are level 5
1 the oakheart in regent valley
2 The mad bull in the pond
3 The skeleton boss in the catacombs (forget his name)

If its the Garden i think your talking about the entrance is hidden behind some trees and bushes. Exit Fort Ranik and go around right to the small river crowded with scales. Head over to the cliffs and its in the corner.

Its where the red ping is on the map. If you stand in the river and face North it shouldnt be too hard to find.
Also it is indeed empty.

And Vatlaaw Doomtooth can be killed during the trouble in the woods quest if you handle it right (I believe he is level 6)
To - the OP a couple have already answered your question about the garden - while the garden does nothing for game-play it is one of the prettiest areas in the game - enjoy

huh that is interesting, I have thought I explore pre fully several times but yet I had no idea of this cave. I guess i'll have to make a new perma pre character to see it.
