While i was waiting for my brother to get of my computer to play some GW, i saw that he was in the "cash shop" for maple story, he was looking at weapons he can buy for real life money( i have no clue) and i saw something that made me say, what the hell.

Fiery Swords have been around since someone in D&D thought'd be cool, if not longer.
They are not possibly unique to GW, despite the graphical design similarities.
And Maple Story is pretty Lol, but that's another matter entirely.

The only thing the Maple Story sword doesn't have is the rigid blade sections of the GW FDS. I saw immediately the dragon mouth hilt similarity.

All games pull from similar themes. The fact remains they all will have overlapping, same type items if they utilize the same time frames. Its just the way of games. I mean, oh so and so did armor in their game, so we cant use it cause we would be stealing? um no

I feel that if people are going to +1 they could at least say something derogatory about Maple Story. Yes, it's a bit like kicking a sick, elderly, blind, and fairly smelly, puppy, but someone's got to do it.

I see this as more of a D&D ripoff than anything. As fas as I can remember, the first "flametongue" I saw was in the 1st AD&D Dungeon Masters guide (circa 83-84 I think). My memory is foggy after all these years.
Probably done in other fantasy games/novels/movies before, it's just the first time I recall seeing it.
