Noobie in the Dark

Im trying to find a solo farming W/mo axe build. so far iv come up short and sucked each time iv tried. I am poor and have the worst shield possible. But i like my axe. I have some of the skills people talk about but dont know how to use them really can someon point me in the right direct to making a Godly Warrior? of farming with an axe in Nm ?
