EotN Henchmen
Stormlord Alex
o noez! nother hench thread!
Not like all the others, though. Simple suggestion... In EotN, there's henchmen for all the core classes, indeed - Henchmen with actual decent builds, better than your average PuG.
Why, however, are there no Assassin, Ritualist, Paragon or Dervish hench?
Meh. Whatever. Regardless - add non-core proffesion henchmen to EotN outposts, pl0x. I'll even go and think up decent builds that the AI can handle, m'kay?
Ritualist henchman - Chiyo
build:
[skill]offering of spirit[/skill][skill]ancestors' rage[/skill][skill]splinter weapon[/skill][skill]protective was kaolai[/skill][skill]mend body and soul[/skill][skill]spirit light[/skill][skill]life[/skill][skill]flesh of my flesh[/skill]
Standard hybrid healer/damage support. rawr
edit: in response to the kick-ass hybrid being too 'strong' for a hench bar, couple of slight deviations that hurt the bar whilst still being decent:
[skill]offering of spirit[/skill][skill]ancestors' rage[/skill][skill]splinter weapon[/skill][skill]protective was kaolai[/skill][skill]mend body and soul[/skill][skill]ghostmirror light[/skill][skill]life[/skill][skill]flesh of my flesh[/skill]
[skill]offering of spirit[/skill][skill]ancestors' rage[/skill][skill]splinter weapon[/skill][skill]spirit rift[/skill][skill]mend body and soul[/skill][skill]spirit light[/skill][skill]life[/skill][skill]flesh of my flesh[/skill]
Assassin henchman - Emi (or Panaku ... I'd rather not split the twins though )
build:
[skill]siphon strength[/skill][skill]siphon speed[/skill][skill]black mantis thrust[/skill][skill]wild strike[/skill][skill]death blossom[/skill][skill]disrupting dagger[/skill][skill]return[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
Dual siphons, because AI iz gud @ hexes; a short chain even the AI won't screw up too bad; Disrupting Dagger syncs well with the AI's reflexes, and Return as a defensive skill because Assassin self-heals, frankly, suck.
Paragon henchman - Sogolon
build:
[skill]wild throw[/skill][skill]merciless spear[/skill][skill]song of purification[/skill][skill]signet of synergy[/skill][skill]ballad of restoration[/skill][skill]aria of restoration[/skill][skill]signet of return[/skill]
A motigon, with damage (because Paragons are good at damage).
(Thanks to Racthoh for the inspiration... I just made it more noob and hench friendly by dropping AR and adding more healing support)
Dervish henchman - Gehraz
build:
[skill]wounding strike[/skill][skill]mystic sweep[/skill][skill]eremite's attack[/skill][skill]zealous renewal[/skill][skill]heart of fury[/skill][skill]faithful intervention[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
Ok, in truth - I wasn't sure what to do with this guy. I would've loved to make him Orders because AI roXx at that, but alas, no secondary. So, I gave him a fire-and-forget build he can spam to kill shit. Inelegant, but it works.
Comments? Suggestions?
and let's keep the idiocy, flames and and catpics out of this one for a change ^_~

Just remember... I charge 20 ectos per build!
Cherng Butter
Chiyo's build might be a little...too good. I'm not sure how to make it on par w/ the other "decent" hench bars though.

And Chiyo is too cute to leave in the roster!
HawkofStorms
NOOOO! The assissin henchmen MUST be Panaku. The crazy killer with white eyes beats Chiyo silly (although he is a bit too similar to Anton personalty wise, shrug).
Other then that

Eh.... sure. I usually use the same henchmen everytime. Not because I think the others are bad, but because my play style uses certain ones more than others. Adding 4 new hench would give me some more options, and a decent Rit would fit my style enough to use one. I was ecstatic when I learned they gave monsters a secondary class in GW:EN. I just wish they had done that with the hench. Clearly it is possible, as they do it for the enemies, and even the hench in the Norn Tournament.

And as I said in the OP, an Orders Derv would be really sexy or a CritScythe 'sin.
ah well... thanks for everything so far!

trying to get more into the game makes the development of gw2 SLOWER.

Maybe Spirit Light can die for one of the weaker, more conditional heals - Mending Grip, Ghostmirror Light or Soothing Memories? They all pretty much /fail compared to Light, but don't kill the build ^_^

I forget, do the henchies even HAVE a full 8-slot skill bar? :\
Also, making hench bars is easy.
[skill]Barrage[/skill][skill]Apply Poison[/skill]
[skill]Frenzy[/skill][skill]Mending[/skill]
Need I go on?

Serious ? Imo really shit on more dumb henchs. Anet should give us 7 Hero Parties and enable us, to use our own Characters from our account as Heroes, once a Character has played through all Campaigns to unlock them as Account Heroes ...
That would be the most awesome Update ever.
People, which want to PuG can and will still do this with their Guild Mates, but this fact won#t understand the Devs of Anet.>.<
Henchmen became useless since the implemention of Heroes, the only thing that is still better by henchmen is, that Anet was able to give those henchs even a better AI, than Heroes have (especially when it goes about the typical well known problem of running out of god damn AoE's)
For what have we 25 Heroes, when we can use only at a time 3 of them -.-
uhm .. /notsigned
Anet has lots of better things to improve/fix, not to mention the typical excuse for everythign:
They have to work on GW2

But as others said, the Rit build should be toned down a bit (Otherwise its like saving a hero slot).

Oki, Chiyo Mk II
[skill]offering of spirit[/skill][skill]splinter weapon[/skill][skill]ancestors' rage[/skill][skill]spirit rift[/skill][skill]mend body and soul[/skill][skill]ghostmirror light[/skill][skill]life[/skill][skill]flesh of my flesh[/skill]
There, the insane healing skills all gone.
But it keeps Rage and Splinter, m'kay?

Anyhoo-
Signed because I like the idea. However, I'm not sure they would want to do this seeing as it would be a pretty major, and not to mention unprecedented, update.
