Survivor Insigia on Heroes too?

Ah... I am attempting hard mode and have saved up some cash to outfit my heroes. Should I be decking them all out with Survivor and Vitae runes? I mean monks,necros, dervs, all the heroes should be decked out with Survivor Insignias? What Insignias/Runes should I be equiping them with? What do the pros use? Teach me your ways!

All of my heroes have over 600 health with the exception of the paragons who have Centurions.

im to cheap to give my heroes insignias, but it depends on the build. if you are having them play one type of build you can probably get by with one of the cheaper insignias

I'll deck my heroes out before I deck myself out. They're (hopefully )more likely to do dumb stuff and need advantages before you do.
That being said, I like to keep a "bait" ele who runs 480hp. The AI will always go for him first which makes it easier to make them run where I want them.

I am cheap, so for most heroes, I only rune their headgear with +skill runes. I play more than half of my characters on a weekly basis, so getting runes for them all would cost me a fortune. I do fully rune my main necro hero and ele hero.
I might get around to buy more runes after I am contempt with HoM on most of my characters.

I'm not sure I agree with that. I guess it depends on your style of play. But you will always have your character. You may not always have your heroes with you.

My MM gets bloodstained and minion master armor, because he always has at least 4 minions up.
But in general survivors is good.

I haven't checked the rare material or rune traders recently, but for one ecto you could outfit one hero with a set of Survivor insignias. A superior vigor is cheaper than a single piece of a 15k armor set if you include the materials. Anyone with a single piece of FoW equipment could've used that gold to deck out several heroes with perfect equipment.
I kinda laugh when I see someone with elite armour and heroes using their starter equipment and no runes. Good to know people have their priorities in place.

Bottom line...if you're spamming "Save Yourselves!" you don't need the additional armour and Survivor's is the smarter choice.
If not, consider armour that benefits your hero under most circumstances eg Windwalker on an Arcane Orders D/N, MM+Bloodstained on a MM, Herald's on a N/Rt Restorer, Centurion's on a Para, Blessed on an Ele, Stonefist Gauntlets on an Earthshaker etc...

I run +AL if there's a decent +AL option for the class (Necro, Ele, Para, Derv), otherwise I stick to Survivors. Vitae goes in the blank slots.

I use Survivors, with Vitae, and +60 health staffs. My heroes usually shoot over 600.

Survivors is good though some classes (dervs, paras) have really good +AL options. Necro MM's should also have MM insignia's, cause the extra amour is good without jacking up sac costs like survivors. Backliners like ele's are also pretty good with blessed since they should always have an attune up.
