Best way to get Ecto's?

Sounds like some kind of a noob question, but it isn't.

I've been doing Duo Underworld alot lately, gaining around 1 Ecto per run (20 minutes).

I was wondering, do you think farming the cash for the ectos and bying them for 4.6-7 each would be faster than doing the underworld? By raising the money from HM DoA or something?

Or just stick to Duo UW?

stick with the 2man, try some solo runs.
main thing these days seems to be UW ursan clear, you could always try that.

um... go solo with terra tank.... done under 20mins

u said "get" not farm. so im gonna go ahead and say power trade (buy low sell high), start off with small things, then go to the more expencive things.

I'd say either continue Duo UW, or try it solo with a W or Ele.
Each solo run should take around 15 mins or less.

Fastest, and most cost effective way, or getting ecto is the following...

Create an elementalist, get the terra tank build, learn it, become good at it. Join every UW Ursaway clearing there is. On an average, really good teams clear in 55 minutes, and average ones clear in a hour and a half. I suggest creating a terra tank for a couple reasons that are easily apparent...

One, you never have to wait to get into a clearing group, because ever team really needs a terra tank

Two, you solo an entire area by yourself (Bone Pits), which normally nets a couple ecto for you.

You can also buy in bulk, using the DoA method, however, I am unsure that DoA's pricing is reflective of it's worth. Also, DoA, in my experience, has a lot of ragequitters, and I watch a lot of runs fall apart because of it. Anyway, these are my suggestions. Hopefully, I was able to help.

It may or may not be faster, but it's a whole lot more interesting. Farming for ectos has never seemed like a good way to spend my time. Vanquishing areas, opening chests, and selling the good stuff is much better IMO.
Even selling the stuff from UW chests will net you more ectos.
