Level 24 charr outside frontier gate

One the first day I got the game two friends and I encountered some level 24 charr outside frontier gate while playing in the same group as a level 20 monk. Being the noob i was then I didnt take a screen shot so, no I cant prove it.

Obviously we got totally smashed. When the monk left our group the charr went away and the regular level 3 creatures were back.

So does anyone know why the level 24 charr were there?

I believe there's an endgame quest where you go back to Ascalon and fight more powerful Charr and their masters. My thinking is that perhaps the Monk had that quest which made the Charr spawn for your group?

Its the endgame (after the last quest...Hells Precipice) quest called
"Last Day Dawns"

Where do you get Last Day Dawns?

From Glint, in Droks... to the right of the storage traders.

You have to finish Defend Droknar's Forge first before the other quests are unlocked.

And you have to complete Hell's Precipice (last mission) to unlock Defend Droknar's Forge.

Ha Ha that's gonna be kewl. Get that quest and then go with newbies on their Frontier missions. They will freak when they see level 24 Charr haha.

I've done that a few times. lol Complete with WTH?? and HOLY Crapola Batmans!!! Where they come from? lol Oh its always good for a laugh or two. I was just sorry when I finished them and couldnt do it to people anymore. lol
