Estimated AR of Gypsie Ettins

Does anyone know the estimated AR of Gypsie Ettins? I'm a level 15 W/Mo, I fought a couple of Gypsie Ettins and hit a couple of 10s and 11s, most of my hits do less than 20 damage, even though I have 10 swordsmanship and 7 strength and is using a damage 14-20 customized sword. Is this low damage normal? Am I doing something wrong or is this some kind of a bug? Thanks.

I think they are fairly durable despite being a low level.
