But Guild Wars doesn't have a weird unrelated login screen, it has a perfectly normal game related login screen. So your reasoning why this discussion is happening is wrong.

I don't want to see Anet waste time on a pointless change when they could be fixing more important things.

Being able to change the log-in screen is pretty much just as pointless as adding mini-pets. If they're willing to implement those, who knows what they'll do next?

Also note that no one has said that this *should* happen, just that it'd be a damn cool addition to the game.

Anyways, sure they can't revert to the old ones... but they can make new ones that are nigh identical to the old ones. Or at the very least put on the Nightfall main menu theme instead of that wretched EotN theme.

Well i have set my gw to automatically log me in so im never on the screen for long lol, i prefer the Factions music, but i like the eotn screen ^_^

It would be cool to have it rotate, but as some people have already said it serves no real benifit apart form making a few players happy, which we know all ready they dont do xDD

I personaly think they will change it for gw2 and that will be it.

Some of us have multiple characters. Some of us spend a few minutes at the login screen. Some of us DO get affected by it. Hence why we want the change.

The Nightfall screen, particularly the music, somehow always motivated me when I saw it. The EotN one just makes me feel depressed at the generic fantasy sound of it.

Of course everyone is different and has differnet likes and dislikes so i respect that ^^

Just i really dont think A-net will do anything about it, maybe if enough people ask for it..... like send them a petition or something.

THere's dozens of threads floating around tackling the issue of login screens. They're staying pretty adamant on not doing anything with the old designs (technical issues were cited), so I'm not getting terribly excited about anything new coming up in the login screen department. However, since so many threads ARE floating around I'm pretty sure that Anet already know there's quite a lot of us who would like to change our login screens without having to resort to petitioning. Posting here just seems somehow friendlier, less demanding.

For what its worth, I like using the login screen with GUI disabled as a screen saver. So it would be great if I could select which login screen was cycling.

Honestly i am with you on this subject, i cant help but feeling Anet got something in store for us, maybe another expension or a new campaign, yeh ok it is a far fetched thought but you have to consider that gw2 is still a long way from now and youve got to keep the community interested enough to wait it out.

Also the comments of late that gw is dying is absolute bias, theres loads of activity everywhere, double ss/lb weekend, do i need to say more.

As for the login screens, yeah sure i want the factions one most, its just a good screen, not implying any campaign from the looks of it and thats what makes it so good.

type in your acct name and PW and you will no longer have to look at it..I know sarcastic answers suck but really if this was even close to the top 100 things needing a fix in game then the forum would be empty of people because they would all be playing the game (except those like me who are at work and cannot play from here)

Yeah so those of us north of the snowline probably have many reasons why were sick of the snow screen. I havent liked the GwEn screen since day 1. I think a good login screen would be one that looks like topk and uses the prophecies 'crystal desert' music.

But lets talk about the music....

Lets go back to djembes... these french horns are for sissies.

GwEn's theme song (and that one REALLY annoying battle music track... you guys know which one?) Fails.

Sorry to say, unless Im working on prophecies or factions, I turn off the music and open www.di.fm

I would like the option to be able to change the screen when ever we get board with one...
But I personally like the eotn screen, never was impressed with the factions or NF screens, prophesies was nice to.
I couldnt care less about the music...i never have the sound on anyway. I like quiet.
Just 1 persons opinion.
