was just sitting in our guild hall while away (corrupted isle). then i came back from afk and all this shit was flying everywhere, it stopped maybe 20 mins later.
does this always happen or what , just thought it was a bit freaky

It's fireworks that people earned during Canthan New Year '08. Someone in your hall used them. Or LSD dropped for you from the Zaishen Chest and you're not letting on.

they last awhile? i was the only one in the hall

lol never mind just read the wiki thing, someone sneak attacked me i guess, i was confused

They last 10 mins, I believe, and will stay active for the full duration unless the GH is empty of players. Someone must have popped in and used them.
