I was running my derv through dungeons over the rep point weekend, and while doing fronis I discovered something - He looks like a badass mofo with daggers. Because looking good is the most important thing in PvE, I've decided that I'm going to run with daggers for a while... but I'm not finding a build to click with.
Obviously, Lyssa would be the the most optimal elite to use, but using the avatar defeats the entire purpose of wielding daggers in the first place. Anyway this is what I settled on
[skill]Onslaught[/skill][skill]Heart of Fury[/skill][skill]Rending Aura[/skill][skill]Death Blossom[/skill]
The damage output is mediocre to say the least. Onlsaught really is pointless in there, but I can't see a better elite to use - I'm thinking of bringing mystic twister there and going for an eliteless build instead. The other option could be bring zealous vow and use vampiric daggers instead of zealous ones for a little extra dps.
Any other suggestions to save this concept?

Why would you not run Avatar of Lyssa with Daggers? How does it defeat the purpose of Daggers?

The purpose of using daggers with a pve derv is too look good - using AoL changes your poses/stances to a female mesmer hence destorying the original purpose.

Have you tried just running the standard Moebius Strike build yet (with something like EBSoH instead of Twisting Fangs, leaving the Deep Wound to somebody else, or bringing Impale just so you can be sure somebody has a Deep Wound handy)? I mean, if you're going for looks, all the hopping around that build causes you to do might look pretty cool. Energy would be a bit of an issue, sure, but... Well, there are ways to fix that with a Hero.

No, what game have you been playing?
If that was true wouldn't every sin in PvE be running around with a shinobi blade >_>

The deep wound comes from golden fang, so thats not a problem, but energy will be. There's 3 slots free including one pve slot to accomodate the required energy management. Zealous vow seems to be the most obvious choice, but iI haven't had much joy using that skill with a scythe because the fight is usually over by the time that the energy arrives, making it more of a tool for fight bridging than one for intra fight energy management. Attacker's Insight is about the only other thing that thing I can think of, which would involve speccing into wind a little more to get to the 3 attack breakpoint:
[skill]Whirling Charge[/skill][skill]Death Blossom[/skill][skill]Moebius Strike[/skill][skill]Attacker's Insight[/skill]

I think this is a fun idea, I hope someone else can add some input to this post!!!

Haven't tried it, but looking over skills, I came up with an idea that may work. Get some Icy Daggers
[skill]Grenth's Grasp[/skill][skill]Whirling Charge[/skill][skill]Golden Fox Strike[/skill][skill]Wild Strike[/skill][skill]Death Blossom[/skill][wiki]Trampling Ox[/wiki][skill]Dwayna's Touch[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Keep them crippled, and knocked down. Death Blossom for when Trampling is recharging. Lead and Off-hand can't be blocked. No Mysticism skills, so only put enough points into Mysticism for energy/health benefits for when enchantments end. I can see this being run on an A/D as well though, as I didn't use the primary attribute for either class.
