i have an idea for a new emote.

/dance2

this would make ur character do the dance of their secondary proffession.
meaning that ur character could do more than 1 dance and that you could do all the dances when u are ascended/closer to stars
what do u think?

And of course that dance is 100% gay

so i think its a 'Rad' idea

Anyway, on topic I think this is a really good idea, it'll make it so that male eles don't have to be stuck with that horribly homo dance *poetry!!!!* and it'll cure boredom for some people. I personally want to see a male ele breakdance or do some irish dance from a ranger/mesmer.

Indeed, interesting idea, though on some professions it might not look so good... for example how the characters "base" is built.
Like.... *thinks* how male warriors and male monks look like thugs. (No offence, really.) But imagine them doing the necro dance. It wouldn't work that well graphically.

But sure, a great idea. I'd like to see my ranger doing the paragon dance. Would look funny.

Hm... it could really work.

Afterall, animations are just moves that the 'skeleton' of the models do.
But if those animations are not 'linked' to each profession, it could b a lot of work to link them.

Wow that's actually a fun and good idea i'm totally up for that!

Also while they are at it can they put in a /sleep emote as well? I like leaving my character sleeping by the big campfire in gunnars hold when I run to get some dinner. Just looks cool.

Yeah but then you guys with the special editions would have FOUR dances! dancenew1 and dancenew2 as well as the regular dances. Think about it!

I want to see my monk performing Warrior´s dance.

I like the idea, just to see a character class use another's dance would be interesting to watch.

What i think would be simpler to do is to assign each of the 20 dances a unique command which would trigger it, based on a proffesion and gender.

/dance triggers the default dance for your proffesion and gender.
/dancemof for instance would trigger the female monk dance (/dance +mo +f)
/danceem male ele dance (/dance +e +m)
/dancertm male ritualist dance etc.

There is already one 'modifier' for emotes: *.

There could be more:

- + : /dance + = /dancenew
- ! : Toggles divine aura for that emote.
- f female emote
- w, mo, p, a, etc... profession dance.
- - if you have a miniature, tries to make the miniature perform the emote. If the miniature model do not has that emote, it is ignored.

Examples
/clap f mo : Tries to perfomr a female monk /clap
/shoo - : Tries to make your miniature /shoo (A Shiro would make a male warrior /shoo, but a Temple Guardian won't)

I like the idea. Regardless of where the male ele dance came from does not make it less gay.

Granted, I do remember there being a frogtalk session when the frog said that he likes the male ele dance.
