In need of fast help =)!

hey was thinking to start guildwars becuse im total bored on wow... but then i saw ALL these 100 expansion and i dont know if its worth it then.. do i really need em all? if not wich 1 should i take? very confusing! also is it alot like wow?

You can buy any of the three campaigns (Prophecies, Factions & Nightfall). They are all 'stand alone' and you can play without buying the others. The only true expansion, Eye of the North, requires that you own at least one of the campaigns to play.

there is only one expansion there are 3 chapters.
the first chapter is prophecies (sometimes just called guildwars)
the second chapter is factions
and the third (and final) chapter is nightfall

You can play any or all of them....the ONLY time you need to have one of them is for the (only) expansion---eye of the north (sometimes referred to as gwen).

If you are just starting out prophecies is a good place....it has a great learning curve and lets you understand how to play the game etc.
Nightfall is the 2nd one I would pick since they added npc's called heroes that you can bring along and customize....factions is the shortest and fastest chapter...

however, each one also has some things that are unique...
factions has 2 professions that are only available in that chapter--the assassin and the ritualist, likewise nightfall has 2 chapter specific profs as well the dervish and the paragon....and three have the 'core' 6 professions (warrior, elementalist, mesmer, ranger, monk, and necromancer).

I would strongly advise you start with Prophecies, which is the first chapter. If you enjoy it, then buy the rest.
