It's became rather bothersome and I'm not quite sure what is causing this, be it the game, my computer, whatever. It would just be nice to know if I could make these mini-freezes go away.
Basically when I open my inventory, game freezes for a few seconds. I change bags, same thing. Open the guild menu there is yet another lock up. I rotate the screen, hold ctrl to check the enemies in range, new enemies come into radar range (huge problem when PvPing to say the least), whatever. Even something as simple as pressing enter can lock it up for a quick second. The simplest of tasks causes my game to freeze.
It happens regardless of the graphics setting, full screen or windowed, other applications open or on the taskbar. I've recently defragmented my computer, and used the second method here just in case it was skipped over. Routinely run Ad-Aware SE Personal and Spybot, default windows firewall disabled or not doesn't affect it either. 3 gigs of memory, and 129 GBs of free space on my hard drive.
If there is a way to fix this or if you need more information I would truly appreciate it.

I'm assuming lagg isn't an issue. What kind of graphics card do you have? How old is it? And have you tried cleaning this card from dust? Also did this behavior happen before you defragmented your PC or only after? Have you installed any new programs or altered anything on your PC prior to this happening?
I've had a simular problem with an older graphics card which would have these mini freezes whenever I open my inventory or change baggs or so it would freeze for a few seconds. But since you mentioned you defragmented your PC recently I'm assuming this will most likely be the problem for you. If you have an additional graphics card you might try installing that one and see if the problem still occurs.

Might sound funy but how long since you had the inside of your PC cleaned?
Opening your casing and using canned air can sometime make a big difference on how your PC run.
Then work your way up from there. Run a scan for virus and spyware, Clean the temporary files. Spybot is great for spyware and cleaning unwanted files and its free.

What kind of Video Card/Processor do you have?
Whens the last time you updated your drivers?
Do other games experience any problems?

once the game unfreezes, does the game become fine again, or do the freezes keep occuring every few seconds?

Check your RAM for problems with memtest. Sometimes certain actions get mapped to a certain bad block on the memory and causes your computer to go crazy. Otherwise, it's probably a graphics problem that others have mentioned.
